Edgy MD Site Manager Posted April 23, 2019 Posted April 23, 2019 That's a God's honest fucking shame.
Lefty Specialist Old-Timey Member Posted April 23, 2019 Posted April 23, 2019 It was completely driven by Rusty. Really surprised they couldn't find someone to carry on the mission considering how much good it did.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted April 23, 2019 Posted April 23, 2019 Yeah, there's got to be no shortage of warm glad-handing ex-ballplayers who can get their friends together for a golf tournament. That's certainly a fraction of what Rusty did, but one or more faces and a staff of a half dozen peeps to do the grant-writing and advocacy and event organization, plus an unpaid board of peeps representing Staub's legacy in New York, Houston, Detroit and New Orleans is a workable goal.Somebody just has to get the ball rolling.Today, I learned there's no Mets Radio Network and no Rusty Staub Foundation.Fuck today.
