It's now called the "injured list."

All standards and requirements for placement, reinstatement, etc., shall remain unchanged. This change, which is only a rebranding of the name itself, is effective immediately.''

Farewell to the name disabled list, a smart and thoughtful move that will surely piss someone off for some stupid reason . As far as we all know, the length of stay is still 10 days? I read grumblings they wanted to go back to 15.

Going on the IL for illin' seems apropos. Somewhere an anecdote in which a player bound for the Injured List frets that he's being farmed out to the International League is waiting to be born.



They don't really say "farmed out" anymore, do they? Agriculturally insensitive, perhaps.
