If we had to go to war today, I'd play McNeil at 3B and let Frazier and Smith platoon 1B until Alonso is ready.

I wish we could break up the LHs and the RHs, but the RHs suck, and you don't want to give them more ABs. and Rosario shouldn't bat lead-off until he gets his OB% at least up to .300!
I think they're going to sign Grandal, which should help. And when Alonzo comes up and Cespedes comes back, it could look more like this after the all-star break:

Yeah, I went with my best inference of the lineup that Callaway wants. And last I checked, he wanted Rosario in the leadoff spot. I'm sure we'll know more as the winter develops.

(Funny that the Mets had three main leadoff hitters last year, each lasting almost exactly 1/3 of the season. Conforto was the leadoff hitter in April and May. Nimmo was the leadoff hitter in June and July. Rosario was the leadoff hitter in August and September.)

The Mets hope to add an outfielder.
