Beef with the booth or just in general? I mean, it would be nice for a
good to outing get rewarded with a win.. This is a total bummer and
rooting for team first sounds nice but doesn't erase disappointment.

Hey, I'm real glad that he pitched late-ish into the game. But I'm less concerned that they let Wheelie down than they let down a house full of Met fans and another million watching at home.

And there goes the lead.

I care a lot about the team win, and I care a little when the pitcher has been struggling and throws a great game, only to see the pen piss it away. Gotta be demoralizing for him.

Leave it to Joe Maddon to go through his entire bench by the top of the 8th in a game where he's only changed pitches once so far.

As a people manager his reputation is the best. As a game strategist he's a mad scientist who'd drive me nuts if managing my team.

Doesn't sound like your normal self, but whatever...

The Cubs are playing like they're still pissed off over 1969 and this has been festering since then.

Conforto is vulnerable up and has been all year, but Plawecki didn't even swing at strike three right down the pipe.

the bigger issue is the Plawecki is the best we can do as a Pinch-hitter in that spot.

True enough. Not sure what the three catchy thing is. Add a hitter.

Familia has retired ONE batter: Jon Lester pinch-hitting
He got the other out on a caught stealing.
Some shit hits in there to be sure, but still ...

And now there's the 3rd out.
