Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted May 4, 2018 Posted May 4, 2018 Putting my stellar IGT record on the line here to help these fuckos pull out of a week long nose dive. Zack Wheeler versus German "Sprechen Sie Englisch?" Marquez. A 7:10 PM tilt.
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted May 4, 2018 Posted May 4, 2018 It's pronounced "Her-man." As in, "Should we give a spot start to the club chef? Well, honestly, you could do worse than her, man."
Guest d'Kong76 Guests Posted May 4, 2018 Posted May 4, 2018 This is a mouthful from The Denver Post:The New York Mets have come back to the pack following the best start in franchise history, relinquishing first place in the National League East following a three-game sweep by division rival Atlanta. New York, which has dropped 11 of 17 since its scorching 11-1 start to the year, resumes its six-game homestand against the Colorado Rockies on Friday night. The Mets were bludgeoned for 21 runs and 41 hits by the Braves and enter the series opener against the Rockies riding an 18-inning scoreless streak following back-to-back shutouts in which they managed a combined six hits. "Things have not gone well lately," rookie manager Mickey Callaway said. Uh, Mickey... ya think???
A Boy Named Seo Old-Timey Member Posted May 4, 2018 Posted May 4, 2018 I hope Scooty gets the night off.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 4, 2018 Posted May 4, 2018 I'd probably use Nimmo in center and Conforto on a corner on such occasions, but a step forward is a step forward.
A Boy Named Seo Old-Timey Member Posted May 4, 2018 Posted May 4, 2018 7 combined runs in the first inning. Unfortunately, the Rockies have 5 of them.
A Boy Named Seo Old-Timey Member Posted May 4, 2018 Posted May 4, 2018 This ship ain't right. I think we gotta DFA all these turds. Except Nimmo. 6-2 Rockies.
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted May 5, 2018 Posted May 5, 2018 As nicely as the season started we are in submerged in poopWe are relying on these guys,Zack WheelerJason VargasSteven MatzIt ain't too early to try and fix itI do like SP P.J. Conlon at Vegas
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted May 5, 2018 Author Posted May 5, 2018 Darn. 7-2, other guys. That last one was a no doubter, too.
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted May 5, 2018 Author Posted May 5, 2018 As per GKR starters this year that are not named Jacob or Noah have a 7.41 ERA for the Mets. Which is, you know, gross.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 5, 2018 Posted May 5, 2018 It's like the team is at a funeral today. I guess that's not to be unexpected. I never got the idea a whole lot of his teammates (or perhaps any of them) liked him much, but seeing a guy fall from the level he was at to this has to be a blow to anybody's sense of their mortality.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 5, 2018 Posted May 5, 2018 Well, Frazier doesn't have much respect for a funeral.
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted May 5, 2018 Author Posted May 5, 2018 Hmmm. Making it interesting mayhaps?
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 5, 2018 Posted May 5, 2018 Damn it, Nimmo. TAKE! You do it as well as anybody.
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted May 5, 2018 Author Posted May 5, 2018 Cespedes is the guy I want up there as the tying run, that's what I'm thinking.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 5, 2018 Posted May 5, 2018 Man.If Reyes had swiped second, this tame might be tied.
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted May 5, 2018 Author Posted May 5, 2018 .[bigpurple:2uby951u]WOW![/bigpurple:2uby951u]8-7 now!
nymr83 Old-Timey Member Posted May 5, 2018 Posted May 5, 2018 I feel like a stripper just reached down my pants, gave them a good tug and walked awayConforto needs some AAA time

Guest d'Kong76 Guests Posted May 5, 2018 Posted May 5, 2018 Tough loss. Swing the bat Ces, can't get rung up there looking. Caraway says Conforto sitting tomorrow, 4K's tonight and of course the last one...Wheeler 6.0 IP, 10 H, 8 ER = yikes!
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted May 5, 2018 Posted May 5, 2018 They probably shouldn't have asked Jason Vargas to mentor him.
