Get Frazier out the next half inning. Put in Reyes and get some ice on his hand.

Thought that too, good excuse to get Jose's 2018 off to a start.

And Frazier makes a throwing error the next inning.

The other hand took the hit.

I forgot what it was like to worry about grown men playing a game.

I've been watching on TiVo delay. Started watching at around 1:30 and didn't have to endure a commercial break for the first six innings. Nice to see a Cespedes homer! It's been a long time!

deGrom: He has the LOWEST career ERA (1.98) for a starter in day games in @MLB history (min 100 IP).

I forgot all about the back/slash shit on twitter so I've been talking to myself all day over there. Ha.

lol. What an odd thing to do. But yesterday I noticed Ozuna was throwing kinda funny. Forced, or something. His arm didn't look right

No it didn't.

Was that the splitter Familia just deployed there?

It was kinda between over hand and side arm. Awkward looking.

Not sure about the splitter.

Waitaminnit!
I was at work and just saw the box score.
Is it a misprint, or did Rosario take a walk?
Let me check.

Yes, Rosario took a walk!
He's gonna' be a monster, I tell ya'.

I listened to the first half of this game on the radio then followed rest online. Is there a reason why Mickey would use the very same bullpen guys? No Ramos nor Seweird even though Swarzak hurt himself? Hmmm

Used them in game one because he wanted to get them the work. Used them in game two because the situation (to his thinking) called for it.

He had an opportunity to go to Blevvy with a pair of runners on and a lefty up, but he surmised (probably correctly) that Matheny would pinch-hit with a righthanded batter, and so saved Blev for the possible appearance of Carpenter up in a game situation later in the game.

It would have been a good time for our non-existent second lefty, but Swarzak did a good job getting out of it before getting tagged the next inning. It was the theme of the afternoon: All three relievers came in mid-inning, sat down, and returned to pitch the next inning.

Napped through innings 1-3, watched 4-6 over a Reddit stream on SNY, and then went outside to enjoy a spring day with the family, and listened to innings 7-9 via XM with Howie and Josh. Good stuff today.

Nice 3-man IGT. Zvon gets the Schaefer by the slimmest of margins.

Today was new gf's first Met game. She looked them up on Wikipedia and now knows more about Bill Shea than I do. She thinks Travis is cute and that Shea Stadium sounds nicer than Citi Field. Like Fman, she had a nice nap during the game. Expectations for 18? Surprising roster addition out of spring, showing a high baseball IQ, good chance to stick with the club.

As seen on Yahoo sports:

The Elias Sports Bureau said Cabrera was the first player since 1915 to bat cleanup on opening day and then hit leadoff the next game.

Did the announcers mention this during the game?
Anyhow, lousy reporting. Who was that player in 1915?
Inquiring minds want to know.
And no, I don't remember the game,
