Ceetar Grand Central Contributor Posted February 21, 2018 Posted February 21, 2018 Zack Wheeler starts as the Braves head on over and get our Spring Training schedule going.SNY/WOR and also Atlanta WIFN.1:10pm from First Data field.
Chad ochoseis Old-Timey Member Posted February 21, 2018 Posted February 21, 2018 I'm not getting it on MLB.tv. Not sure if that's because they're not carrying games this early or if they haven't yet autorenewed my subscription. But I can use a live baseball fix, even if it means I'm watching Phil Evans or someone tee off against #74 on the Braves.
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted February 21, 2018 Posted February 21, 2018 Is the game today? Or on the 23rd, as the title of this thread suggests?
Chad ochoseis Old-Timey Member Posted February 21, 2018 Posted February 21, 2018 The 23rd. That would explain why MLB.tv isn't showing it today.
Guest cooby Guests Posted February 21, 2018 Posted February 21, 2018 Wow Chad, you are excited to watch a game lol
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted February 22, 2018 Posted February 22, 2018 My big 2018 no SNY experience will be kicking off this week. I'll be streaming via Reddit and using the Chromecast to push the game to one of two different TVs in my house (my 2nd Chromecast arrived today). It's a bunch of extra work but until MLB Extra Innings lifts the blackout rules, or SNY signs on with my provider, I don't have any recourse (I could theoretically subscribe to MLB EI and use a DNS anonymizer to hide my location, and evade the blackout rules, but between the two that'd cost me $200 this year, and the Reddit streams are free).
Lefty Specialist Old-Timey Member Posted February 22, 2018 Posted February 22, 2018 Does MLB Extra Innings go by your IP address when you sign up or the IP address when you connect, for the blackout rule? And is it available overseas or US only?Going to be doing some traveling this year and thinking about signing up.oe: Duh. I'm actually asking about MLB.TV, not Extra Innings.
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted February 22, 2018 Posted February 22, 2018 I think MLB.tv is available in every country except Japan, if I remember correctly.I've been meaning to test it when I'm traveling, but I've never remembered to do so. I was in the UK last summer, and I think I could have watched the Mets on the phone app, but with the time difference and the busyness of traveling, I never got to try it.Since I live in the Philadelphia market, I can't see Phillies games on the app. I was in Boston two summers ago, and meant to try seeing if I could, while there, watch the Phillies and not the Red Sox, but again, I forgot to give it a try.I expect, though, that that's what would have happened.

If not, did you try the NBC Sports app streaming? Your cable company might not provide SNY but the app might think it does. Another alternative would be bribing someone that DOES and us their login for the NBC app.

I think I was able to see games when I was traveling in England and Iceland, but my memory's not clear on that.
Lefty Specialist Old-Timey Member Posted February 22, 2018 Posted February 22, 2018 Thanks. I'll be in Missouri a lot as well as Europe for a bit. Don't mind if I miss Cardinals and Royals games.Didn't know you could connect from Europe with no blackouts. That's kind of cool.

Ceetar Grand Central Contributor Posted February 23, 2018 Author Posted February 23, 2018 game should be streamable if you were curious about such things.

Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted February 23, 2018 Posted February 23, 2018 Jeez.Well, Mickey gets to start his managing career by sending a message. He is all about "accountability".I hope Dom wasn't late because he stopped at a pizzeria.

I have heard plenty of other young players talk in interviews before, but I have never heard anyone sound quite as man childish as Smith.
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted February 23, 2018 Posted February 23, 2018 He may have a bit of a speech impediment. I don't think that the words he says sound childish.Hopefully this one lateness is an aberration, and one with a good explanation. It's obvious that he worked hard this offseason.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted February 23, 2018 Posted February 23, 2018 Todd Frazier breaks the seal on the hit column for the 2018 Met Campers.Mets, I am told, elected to wear the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School hats for the game. All of MLB (or at least all of the Florida teams) were supposedly wearing them for exercises today, but the Mets elected to wear them in the game, and I presume most other teams too.I like these gestures, but I think they have far more impact when the different organizations act on their own.
Guest d'Kong76 Guests Posted February 23, 2018 Posted February 23, 2018 TV booth is music to my ears, I'm such a Mets mush sometimes...

Dom, they're not going to hand it to you and Alonso's breathing down your neck. Focus.
