Doing some research on various stadium honors, such as number retirements, statue installations, etc and thought the year in such would make an interesting quiz:

This year 6 numbers were retired:

_____ MFYs
_____ Boston Red Sox
_____ Chicago White Sox
_____ Texas Rangers
_____ Seattle Mariners
_____ Cleveland Indians

There were 13 additions to various team HOFs

_____ St Louis Cardinals
_____ St Louis Cardinals
_____ St Louis Cardinals
_____ Minnesota Twins
_____ Minnesota Twins
_____ Washington Nationals
_____ Washington Nationals
_____ Milwaukee Brewers
_____ Brewers's Braves Roll of Honor
_____ MFYs
_____ Anaheim Angels
_____ San Francisco Giants
_____ San Diego Padres

Bonus, there was a team that had a HOF enshrinement announced, but had to rescind it close to the date of the ceremony. Name the team and person.

There have been 8 new statues installed in and outside stadiums

_____ Atlanta Braves
_____ Atlanta Braves
_____ Cleveland Indians
_____ Cleveland Indians
_____ Los Angeles Dodgers
_____ Minnesota Twins
_____ Seattle Mariners
_____ Cincinnati Reds

Usual CPF rules (one guess per person) apply and hints will be provided every five posts

Good one!

The White Sox retired Mark Buehrle's number.

I think the Indians retired Frank Robinson's number as a manager. I think he was a middling manager for them, but I suspect they are saluting his role a pioneer.

Yes, they did! Other than Jackie Robinson, second to have his number retired by three teams, though the only one to have the same number across the board.

FYI, out of the White Sox' 11 retired numbers, Buerhle is the 5th that is currently on the outside looking in of Cooperstown. The other 4 are #9 Minnie Minoso, #19 Billy Pierce, #3 Harold Baines and #14 Paul Konerko.

While I prefer to be stingy with retired numbers, I don't necessarily think that induction in Cooperstown should be a requirement. I'd be in favor of the Mets retiring David Wright's number, and his Hall of Fame chances have become extremely thin.

The Dodgers did a Jackie Robinson statue that's as good as any fake plaza with a stupid 42

The first of such non-retired number honors for the franchise

I bet the Rangers number was newly minted Hall of Famer Ivan Rodriguez.
