  1. Yup and the lettering on the back is wrong too. It looks like a nice quality shirt though. Is there a 'Mets' patch on the sleeve?

You can create and maintain a virtual universe of Mets history and interactive statistics on the internet and you can't figure out how to use a basic function of your cellphone? Slacker.

I get scores from my BlackBerry. Isn't every cellphone web-enabled these days? Just go to any one of a bazillion sites and grab your score.
  4. 2007 Yankees - ARod, Matsui, Damon
  5. I was on vacation in Colorado in February and was out to dinner and wearing a Mets hat. While waiting for a table a guy walks by me, sees my hat and says -"Johan's not worth it, your boys made a bad deal". Yeah, I don't think so.
  6. ="Benjamin Grimm"]Wow, he even gets the girl when his team gets eliminated. Some guys have all the luck. He's not getting anything - that big ghost thing is just about to swallow his overrated ass up. See Ya!

  8. HahnSolo wrote: I kind of agree with KC and Lunchbucket. But whether you are pro- or anti- Omar, doesn't the timing of this suck? Christ, the Mets just never get it, do they? I read that the timing was to head off speculation that if the Mets did not make the playoffs that Omar's job would be in jeopardy.
  9. "What good is an escalator? Well, it'll take you up and sit you down." Excellent.
  10. ="SteveJRogers"]="Benjamin Grimm"] And if so, is Steve actually saying that anything else can possibly be remotely as cheesy? Well an actual torch would be. Symbolic, like home plate, different story. Since when are you the arbiter of all things cheesy or non? A torch, while a bit odd I admit, is nowhere near as stupid as bringing out hot dog hawkers dressed as legendary ballplayers.
  11. I've got questions. When the soda guy/ghost of Lou Gehrig was introduced, was the rain-like applause hard or soft? Also - when the ghost of Bill Dickey came out, was he able to catch Babe Ruth's non-blood relative's first pitch while still holding his tray of cotton candy?
  12. Alright, I'll try - 1 game up in the WC with 6 to go. Santana tonight. That's all I got.
  13. ="cooby"]MR. Martin, MR. Steinbrenner It's The New York Times, hayseed.
  14. That was my intent.
  15. metirish wrote: Who is the girl? She is a Yankee fan who is proud to wear her team's tragic number for postseason elimination on her hand.
  16. John Cougar Lunchbucket wrote: ITOS (It's the offense stupid) I disagree.
  17. Shaved on Sunday morning. Will no longer do so until and unless the Mets are eliminated.
  18. Well - I figured I got suckered in so....
  19. Didn't they win last night?

    Believe

1/2 game out of the division, 1/2 game up in the wild card, 12 games left. No reason not to believe.

  22. Boy, the Mets are sure doing a good job in forcing their fans to try to look on the brightside of things these days aren't they?
