  7. Don't close the remaing Dodger games yet - I'm gonna vote within the next 20 minutes!
  8. Yeah I forgot about this thread - Gotta remember it the next time Fman wants to punch someone in the neck. Or some other part of their anatomy...

I wonder how much of it is Show stepping up, and how much is it Willie using him against a higher percentage of lefties this year. But yeah, Show's been pretty awesome. You know Schoeneweis did have a torn hammy ligament that he was pitching with all last year. ="John Cougar Lunchbucket"] SShoulda told meI was in the Soupcan Section Friday night, just a few boxes behind the Mets on-deck circle but we were unimpressed with the service from our personal handjobber, who was schmoozing with half the people and ignoring the other half. What can I say - those guys know a poseur when they see one.
  10. From today's New York Post: The Mets are considering left-handed first baseman Scott Hatteberg, who was designated for assignment Tuesday by the Reds, but the Mariners are considered the leading contender for his services.

    Joe Torre

With one post I feel I already know you (maybe I do). I was also a bit miffed about Torre getting cheered. Why was he cheered? Because he's a New York baseball icon? Fine, whatever. But this is Shea Stadium. You are supposed to be Mets fans. What'd this guy ever do for you? I wouldn't necessarily boo him any more than I would any other opposing manager but cheer him loudly? Nah.
  12. I dunno 'bout that. I'll grant you it was a huge out but the guy faced just one batter. I think giving him .25 for throwing 4 pitches is pretty good. Besides, if you go over to DodgerBlues, they'll tell you that Kemp making that out was a foregone connclusion.

I have programs and pennants from games going back to the 1970s, and I try to get a logo cap and t-shirt each year, and a BP jersey, when I can get one on the cheap. I'm getting the impression that you are to baseball jerseys as Bill Cosby's Dr. Huxtable was to big ugly sweaters. Do you have enough of them to wear a different one every day? And do you?

  21. Yeah - I think most of my querys would be of a Seinfeld nature as well.
  22. And the Mets actually win a game.
  23. You've got a half hour to hang out with Keith Hernandez, what are you dying to know?
  24. It's funny 'cause I tell my son not to look at the ball, just run! Then he'll watch a major league game and see all these guys do it and say "look dad, they all watch the ball..."
