I don't understand why people do stuff like this. I suspect some booze bravado was involved in this case. But why do people think this is OK just because you bought a ticket to a baseball game, or even post in a baseball forum? Why does a guy like this think this is a good thing to do? I feel bad for Marte. Yes, he's making millions of dollars to play baseball, and fans pay a chunk of that salary. NEW YORK -- Amid a flurry of moves, the Mets on Monday added another patch to their bullpen, agreeing to terms with left-handed reliever Dicky Lovelady on a Major League deal. Lovelady will be active for the Mets' series opener against the Braves at Citi Field, and he'll be joined by outfielder Travis Jankowski, who was selected to the Major League roster. As a corresponding move, the team optioned infielder Luisangel Acuña -- who had appeared in 65 games for the Mets this season -- and right-hander Tyler Zuber to Triple-A Syracuse. Per MLB.com

I honestly stopped watching after the bases loaded double play in the first inning. I figured that was a good indication of what was to come.
