  2. I WANNA ROCK AND ROLL ALL NIGHT AND MARTE EVERY DAY!
  3. When Yankee tears fell like soft rain upon Citi Field.
  4. Marte can cement legend status right here.
  5. Lots of Schaefer for Lugo for that out alone.
  6. the scumbag of a former cop, who's solution to fake crime statistics is to harass homeless people, was relevant to the conversation, as he's got sway in what happens here. Just the "he approves of the stadium" is relevant because there are only so many things you can put there, and mentioning one without talking about the affordable housing (you know, to put the homeless people you're trying to kill in) or the school, is relevant. This is NYC real estate, they're going to be fighting to maximize revenue/profit/riches/power and schools and affordable housing are roadblocks to them that they'd like to avoid, the only thing standing in the way is government regulations that are supposed to help protect citizens, but as we've seen from our favorite ex-cop asshole who lives in NJ, he doesn't care about them. No one builds affordable housing next to stadiums. Traffic and noise aren't compatible for places where families live. You build schools near housing, not in the middle of sports complexes. No one is trying to kill homeless people. Police aren't pigs. I don't recognize the world you claim to live in.
  7. Wow. That's horrible. Seems like a good place for a stadium -- or any kind of development that would make the area a little nicer for before or after game activities.
  8. Pig Adams? What does that mean?
  9. I saw big stretches of the iron triangle cleared when I was there this month. Is that the spot where this is all going?
  10. That was a great read! I heard the highlights of the mic-ed up part, especially the pronunciation part.

He heard the boos, he needs to do better. I wasn't really meaning to express that. I was just paraphrasing the post above mine to implicitly note that we really can jump to the most extreme of takes on something that isn't even really the topic. Ah. Understood. I don't see posts from some posters and didn't understand the context. Apologies.

  13. That's a great book, right there!
  14. "Did you hear the boos when you struck out there?" I did. I know the fans are frustrated. They're passionate. I'm frustrated. I know I can do better, and I will. That's how you answer that, and move on. If they come back with the similar question, you answer with a variation.

  16. Listening while I'm getting steps on the trail near my house. When Wayne was describing the ball going deeper and deeper I hunched over, then heard the catch and let out a cheer - not realizing there was a woman and her dog about 10 feet behind me. So both of us got a scare, for different reasons. Probably the dog, too. Both gave me a look as they passed.
  17. Wow. I got discouraged after the top of the first , got some chores done, checked, and life is good again!
  18. Well this got off to a bad start. Bounce back Shams will kick it in gear.
  19. Johnny Lunchbucket wrote: Hostility and saying the reporter is stupid is what Nick Castellano did this weekend. I know that because he said "that's a stupid question" then proceeded to denigrate both the reporter and the question once there was pushback. You are correct. I get that Castellano is frustrated and is pressing. But "That's a stupid question" Is never the right answer. Every question is an opportunity. When they stick a mic in your face, you can say what you want. Escobar did a great job with a similar question. I'm struggling and I want to give the fans something to cheer for.
