  3. heep wrote: Soler got rocked in spring training. Pelfrey gets the first shot, b/c he is the #1 pick. Well who can argue with that logic?
  4. Maybe he's sad at the direction his career has taken.
  5. "Over-playing"?
  6. Actually I did like the scene with Viggo and his brother.
  7. I went. Great action scenes and a bland storyline that served to get from one action sequence to another. Some funny one liners. And I liked it. So all you wannabe snooty film critics can kiss my....hmmm let's keep this out of the RLF. Having to be polite sucks.
  8. Matsui got his hit for today. Pull him.
  9. Leave Floyd on the bench. Valentin with his fourth hit. (SC = 99.99)
  10. Eddie C, no matter what you think of him, does have a soothing voice. I wonder if he narrates any books on tape. My first post as Jesse. That's a great avatar. Well done, admins.
  11. I think the fact that they DO seem so concentrated in the ninth could be a point in favor of Wright being a good fielder. Maybe he only makes errors in "big" spots, so he actually is an excellent fielder. 'Course, I doubt there will be many subscribers to that idea on this site.
  12. I like the sigil on that beer. It looks tasty in the picture, too.
  13. Nymr83 wrote: its just bad luck. It's a bit of a leap to say that. Nymr83 wrote: but if these errors came in the 3rd instead of the 9th nobody would talk about them I'd still be talking about them. I think other folks would be too.
  14. This is what we call over-managing. Wagner is coming out.
  15. Is it just nerves? Or is Wright just a bad fielder?
  16. If he had caught it, Nady was definitely out.
  17. I said "sort of" diving. If you've got a better way to explain be my guest. It's a better written record than "infield hit"
  18. Wow. Let's get that down for posterity. 2 hopper in the hole, SS goes into short left to pick it up, does a jump throw. The throw bounces on its way to first, Cecil Jr has to sort of dive as he's reaching for it, he grabs it in his glove a full step before Nady touches first as he's falling down. But when he hits the ground it fell out of his glove. Base hit correctly called. If Fielder had held onto it it would've been a great play on both ends. AND, if he had been out, either Nady is ridiculously slow or he wasn't hustling the whole way.
  19. So you're saying it's not possible for him to perform worse than Lima? It's not possible in this world that we live in? I agree with you; that is nuts.
  20. (No "The" before his nickname)
  21. From Calgary, Alberta, Canada......weighing in at two hundred and forty-five pounds......Bret Hitmaaaaaaaaaaaaaaan HART
  22. Cornelius must still be lost on the highway.
