  2. That's definitely not how they were doing it on TV.
  3. Are any of you fellas who boo Matsui going to go boo Bonds? Would you even?

  5. Yancy Street Gang wrote: Really? What's the average age? I know that they have some old guys like Franco and Glavine, but they have some that are awfully young, like Wright, Reyes, and Milledge. Beltran and Nady are also younger than 30. They had a graphic during a recent game. I can't remember exactly but I think it was around 31. Or that could be way off. I'm sure Franco skews the average. It didn't seem like the distribution was very large. This may have been pre-Milledge. Edit: Changed "posted it" to "had a graphic". I use internet-speak too much.
  6. I'm not too good on the comprehension thing. Nice job Doc.
  7. Remember when Matt Morris used to be good?
  8. Very nice pinch-KTE. Pinch-KTEing is the hardest KTEing to do. The Mets are the oldest team in baseball.
  9. These days I've noticed "Yankees Suck" chants when a MFY-fan is making an ass of himself. In those instances I think it's okay.

  11. I haven't heard either of those in a long time.
  12. seawolf17 wrote: ="Centerfield"]Did you guys see what Mussina did last night? With his team up 6-0, Torre let Mussina try to get the shutout. Mussina lost it with 2 outs and Torre moved to come out of the dugout. Mussina yells at his manager to "Stay right there!" Torre backs off, and puts up 2 hands as if to say "no offense intended". I'm all for gamers and all that, but I think I draw the line at showing up your manager. Here's to hoping one day Mussina tries that with Bobby Cox or Frank Robinson. He definitely made Torre his bitch right there. Our token MFY fan at our office loved it. Where's Mad Dog? "I mean you can't do that Mike!!!! You just can't do that to your manager!!!"
  13. How many ten-and-five rules exist in baseball?
  14. BTW, I'm getting all of the historical info from a great little site that I found. I don't think anyone here has seen it before.

  16. How do they fill out the ballot? My guess would be a player needs a certain amount of service time. And how many years after retirment before a player is eligible?

  20. Tyler Yates was called up by the Braves a couple of days ago. On May 30th, he gave up 3 earned runs on 4 hits and 2 walks in an inning and a third.
  21. I had forgotten that. Yup, overall a pretty dumb play.
  22. ="Frayed Knot"]"Reyes throwing behind the dancing runner was kewl also." Although real fukkin risky. The downside of missing that (and he almost did) is MUCH bigger than the upside of getting the easy out. Agreed. I didn't like that play. Didn't the next batter walk anyways?
