  1. I was just about to say that Milledge is looking too overanxious at the plate, and he waits on a pitch and bloops it up the middle for a single. And Glavine bunts into a DP--how bout that!

  3. Reyes with the lead off double! Burrell is fun to watch as he attempts to play leftfield. LoDuke moves him over to third.
  4. Walks Fasano- Madsons gonna try and bunt over-- and Glavine takes it and forces fasano at 2nd. Nice. Hope we get 6 out of Glavine. He still could settle down but up to 40 pitches already------not good.
  5. well, when Fasano makes you throw over 10 pitches in an at bat, your in trouble. And Glavines up to 12 with a 3-2 count.
  6. Shit- Tommy was pitchin Rowand well--in and out- then Aaron gets a hold a one for another longball. Phils up by a run.
  7. Madson with a smooth 2nd. hope Glavine settles into his A game.
  8. Elster88 wrote: The most important series of the season up to this point is the one being played today. Yea--I was real careful how i phrased that.
  9. Elster88 wrote: Rollins weighs what? 175 soaking wet? And yet he reached with one hand for an outside changeup and pulled it over the fence. Something is going on in this sport. I suspect he's on SHLOBH. (super human lead off batter hormone)
  10. I personally consider this series the most important of the season at this point. Mets could really break away from the pack for good here. 1-1, after 1.
  11. Hillbilly wrote: Reyes says: that's right Mother F_____, I said speed kills, and steals 2nd on the pitch out. lol--yep. Speed kills. Ya know, Reyes isnt doing that bad in the hit dept., with 66 hits. And he's almost up to 30 walks, which is nice. Has 27 stolen bases to lead the majors. Lots of at bats, of course, cuz he leads off- but could you imagine if he could get his batting average up to .280-.290? .272 coming into todays action is a steady improvement since April. Rollins shows that power currupts with a lead off homer against Glavine. Even up already!
  12. Reyes: .2 Chavez: 1 Beltran: 4 Delgado: 3 Woodward: .3 Martinez: 1 Feliciano: .2 Bell: .3
  13. Reyes: .5 LoDuca: .5 Beltran: .5 Wright: 1 Valentin: .5 Chavez: 1 Soler: 6
  14. Beltran: 4 Delgado: 3 Wright: 2 Franco: .1 Feliciano: .3 Sanchez: .3 Wagner: .3
  15. Ill usually give a pretty detailed explanation when I reject a trade.
  16. Pedro gets win number 6---finally!
  17. ="seawolf17"]'Bout time Marrero did something. lol These D'backs have to be feeling shellshocked. I almost hope the Snakes do make the playoffs. If the Mets get in (just talking in anti jinx logic when I say if) all the games will seem like home games. Cripes, they even hit better out there.
  18. I think we have taught each other that there are 3 things in baseball that kill. Walks. Errors. Speed. Marrero doubles in 2 runners who walked. Nice 1st hit by the new guy.
  19. Zvon wrote: A sweep tag also would have gotten the runner there. ....seeing the replay just now of the play at the plate, I may have to retract this statment.
  20. Oliver bats for himself in the 8th and I have to assume he's in for the long haul. And he draws a walk---lol. I love it.
  21. Pedros line: IP____PC___H___ER____BB ___K 5.0____81__ 5____1_____1____ 3
  22. There's Marrero- Ks in his 1st AB as a Met.
  23. Edgy DC wrote: ="Nymr83"]Castro blocks the plate beautifully on chavez's bullet home, there'd be an arizona run on the board right now if loduca had been playing. On the other hand, Garagiola thinks there was interference there, that Castro was blocking without having the ball. He must just be running out of things to say. Castro was there before the throw was, but the throw came in an expediant manner.
