    Glavine pitches himself into a jam here. Two hits and a walk. Bases loaded, 2 out, and Veritek will bat lefty again. And he gets out of it by getting Veritek to fly out to left! Whew.

    BEAUTIFUL bunt by Chavez but Lowell pounces on it like a pooper scooper. Makes the play. And Manny gives Milledge a lil lesson on how to play the Mohnstah as he holds Woody to a single on a drive off the wall.

    Another nice inning by Tommy. Varitek batting lefty vs. Glavine. I see the logic here but I think this works better for us. At least it does when Glavine is hitting his spots. 0-0 after 2 and a half.

    Mets go 1-2-3 in the second, only Mr. Franco hitting a ball hard. Wright and Valentin on easy pop ups. Looks like Wrights trying to force out some hairs on his chin.

    Mets are turned away in the 1st. Lets see what Glavine has today. We could use his A game out there tonight. Boston to bat.

    Whew--we got the call there. Shilling picks off Reyes and we get the safe call. And Reyes jams his fingers. LoDuke pops out and Shills holding Reyes on gets dividends as Reyes tries to steal second and is thrown out by a healthy margin.

    Alot of baseball friends of mine dont like this guy as a baseball "expert", but I always have and wish him a full and speedy recovery. Baseball Tonight and ESPN's baseball coverage in general wouldnt be the same without him.

    Da fat lady just barked out a tune. Game ovah! Pedro just didnt have it tonight. Just saw the play where he messed up on the grounder to the mound. Couldnt see third but he sure had the guy at second. Wierd night for Martinez.

    What? Us worry? Im not gonna sweat a mid season lull as long as they pick it up down the stretch. And I have no doubt that this team will. Afew timely moves by Omar to shore up some deficiencies would be nice. Mets are lookin at Julio Lugo for 2nd base, but I personally feel pitching is more important. Valentin has filled in second very well, thank you.

    Ugly game so far. I havent seen Milledge's error tonight yet but I saw last nights and that was just awful. I dont know how he lost that ball, but he did. This is ashame- I expected quite a pitchers dual here. I think Boston being so nice to Pedro was a sabatoging factor, effecting his competitiveness. j/k,.........kinda. (no CPF kaboom for Delgado? Whats goin on here?)
