  1. Maine gets the call on Carpenter-YAY!
  2. UGH--the shitty hitting catcher drives in 2 with a line hit to right.
  3. ...or 3 pop ups...thatll work. Whew-- One out
  4. bases loaded- if we EVER needed a DP, the time is now.
  5. Ugh--lead off walk for Cards in the 2nd. Dont like that-not a bit. And then the twisting grounder gets by Delgado..crap. 1st and 3rd- 0 out.
  6. Aww--cant get him in. Well, we are up 3-0 and made Carpenter throw more pitches than he had to. Ill take it.
  7. OHH! Awsum running by Wright keeps the inning alive. Wow.
  8. mmmmm. Wright gets another chance--and walks! crazy stuff.
  9. Wow--a single for Reyes-legged into a lead off double. LoDuke moves him over to third. Getting Reyes in here would be big.
  10. Good start 1-2-3 for Maine. Nice. I think if we keep Ekstein from hitting and reaching, we are half way there. No way can Pujols do it alone. Even if he drives in 7, we'll drive in 8.
  11. I hope Buck has gum for everybody....................
  12. LMAO! Great Fri 13th segment/spot there on Fox. That was funny. Normally a Friday the 13th game might worry me, but not with Wags bein #13. That changes everything. That makes it a lucky day.

  14. Tiggers win! One more and they go to THE SHOW! Rogers--unbelieveable. Never would have bet he could do that once, no less twice.
  15. Willets Point wrote: I thought the game was at 8 tonight. This is an awfully early start on the IGT. So,.... an 8:05 (listed) game start really is more like an 8:20 start, isnt it? I never know, the way TV takes control of the event.
  16. Yancy Street Gang wrote: The Mets never wanted to host the game. Given that, it's hard to argue that they were robbed. Its the fans who were robbed, if anyone. And I guess robbed is the wrong word. Got the shaft? I dunno. Its just not right thats the way things ended up. Thats all Im sayin.
  17. lmao---that Grady is close to the Grady I was thinking of,.. cept-- he didnt have an afro or beard..... he wasnt black,....... he wasnt a TV personality....... never seen the guy smile.... I think he still has his real teeth...... Wait! You werent close at all.
  18. Zvon wrote: Ill forever see him throwing that 4th ball and marching off the mound at the end of a former Met post season run. .....he may as well have been carrying a suitcase and walkin to catch a bus, the way he marched off that mound. But this Tiger post season. The guys been so intense its sick. I think I hat him. (Im debating this with myself)
  19. metirish wrote: Yeah I thought Steve was going to do every postseason KTE,IGT and EKG... Ha! EKG.lol. We Met fans can be contained. But we cant be controlled. Whoever brings the IGT 1st is fine with me. Hope FK brings the luck, if the Mets should need some.
  20. Valadius wrote: You know they'll bring the All-Star Game to the new stadium though. At some point. Hopefully before the Yankees do. That dont make it right that Shea only got one. Thats a crime. We was ripped off. (we talked about this before in another thread- there are reasons, some touching on front office lack of desire)
  21. Yancy Street Gang wrote: Ballgame going on. Kenny Rogers getting it done again so far, holding Oakland to only one hit as they bat in the fifth. Tigers are up 2-0. Rogers--I figured he'd give it his best and all, but- This is rediculous. Ill forever see him throwing that 4th ball and marching off the mound at the end of a former Met post season run.
  22. Anyone see the POST's PAGE SIX cartoon relating to the tragedy? Its hilarious, tho I felt so guilty laughing.
  23. Yancy Street Gang wrote: The rain was in the forecast. They should have seen and accounted for the possibility. mmmm-very good point. Im just being a sentimental old Grady.
  24. Centerfield wrote: ="Yancy Street Gang"]That was the original plan, and I would have stuck with it if everyone hadn't stopped voting months ago. Shame on us for just playing out the string. I'll admit it. There were quite a few times in September where I was just flat. Ill also admit I let up at seasons end, for a number of reasons, the primary one being lack of Met games available to watch. I got to a point where if I couldnt see the game I didnt feel it was fair to score. (I used to print out the box scores and go over em for like 10 minutes divyin up the points on games I read online, most of the season-I take this serious) Probly silly of me- sorry bout that Yance- figured plenty would carry it. Did that many people stop scoring? Like Centerfield says, shame on us.
