Am I crazy to consider this? With Duda out and Cuddy not delivering any long balls, could we use Wright at first base? Why move him, and play Murphy at third, when it's the same effect on your lineup to play the experienced Murphy at first? Late seeing this. I wasn't considering Muffy for third base. The best place to hide him is at second (and I'd want him in there), although he has been fine at first. If Wright gets any relief at third I expect it to be Uribe. Hows this look? Is it accurate--should I rephrase the caption? Longest standing....? Should I include a pic of Nettles on the Skanks?
  2. As of yesterday: I owe you a beer.

  4. 2-2, 2 out in the 9th. K! Thank you Cards. I wasn't really, like, rooting rooting. I just said yay a few times to myself.
  5. Mets Willets Point wrote: I'm sorry, but I just can't root for the Cardinals. See, I don't understand this. Of course you can. The Mets need the Cards to beat the Nats. It's as simple as that. Where are your priorities?
  6. Benjamin Grimm wrote: I'm going to bed now. I'll probably wake up in the middle of the night to check the final score. How can you leave? You might be the nights good luck charm! Uh-oh. Now it's all on me.
  7. I'm really surprised this didn't jinx them. Also, figures they'd hit two more and make me have to fix that. In any case I should have waited til the month was over. I'm so excited these days I'm getting a little ahead of myself. A record breaker : "Young Steals 7 bases in one game!"
  8. Is he gonna wear that face thing the rest of his life?
  9. Benjamin Grimm wrote: I'm watching the Nationals-Cardinals game. (Familiar voice of Tim McCarver in the booth) and the Cards have just come back from a 5-3 deficit to tie the game in the 7th I'll have to put that on. Cardinal double plates two!

I dont know, he still feels more like the 5th string running back in the 4th quarter of a pre-season NFL game. no matter how good he looks, the spots ahead of him are already locked down. What he might be doing is making sure that he, and not Matz, is next in line for a start if anything happens to deGrom/Harvey/Niese/Syndergaard, but those guys are the post season starters right now and Colon just doesnt seem like a good bullpen piece I agree about the rotation. But I think Colon would make a fine bullpen piece and I don't think it would faze him (or phase him) in the least. Imagine him coming in for Thor in the 7th, slowing down the game (in velocity, not time) and next thing you know you're facing Familia.
  11. Phils booth needs to learn a lil respect. Lil' bit. Fammy's 0-2 on the guy and they say "If the Mets can hang on and win here...blah,blah,blah". Hang on and win? Red sweatered ninnies. ComeONNN! We had it all along. The worst they coulda done was tie and then we'd just launch another comeback. Wow, I haven't felt like a real arrogant Mets fan in a long time. It feels nice, especially being stuck with their booth for the next two. How about Colon? What a much needed performance.
  12. 99 & out!
  13. Whoa. Tha was close.
  14. [bigpurple:30e3zbkw]HUGE[/bigpurple:30e3zbkw]
  15. Of course it has to be Ryan Howard up. A legendary ex-nemisis. Oh, yea, nice, walk him. You boob Familia! Now get out of it.
  16. Gah!The 9th inning is like a separate ballgame anymore and I don't like it! 2 on no out in the 9th. Fammy lookin' for his groove.
  17. Colon pitching in the 8th. The 8th folks! ComeONNN!
  18. Boooo! I already sent in my official protest of the game.
  19. that is TOTAL bullshit. OE: even though I saw Conforto make a face that made me think he thought he may have come off the bag. I didn't see it. I thought he brushed his leg across it till his foot hooked it, never losing contact.
  20. This Phils booth is seeing the replay, same replay Im watching, and they say Conforto was off the bag. They're nuts. He dragged his leg over and then his foot was up against the side. This is bullshit. Stolen base. ComeONNNN!
  21. Travis. You of all people, don't instigate the ump. Esp with Colon pitching. You want that pitch too son.
  22. Ks the side in the 7th. I may have to stop making fun of him.
  23. I just saw the Philly Phanatic shoot up the Phils locker room. It was only silly string, but still very uncomfortably unkool. Coming back with any kind of gun to resolve a situation is not a good example of how people should behave. Even jokingly. Excuse me if I sound a little bit over sensitive these days.
  24. Wow. The home plate ump made up for all the bad ones so far tonight with that gift of a call to end the frame.
  25. Very kool the way Curtis urgently thanked that fan.
