The main suspect: his glute. But some will spin it as a lack of hustle.

Caught part of the Phils' radio booth the other day and former pitcher Larry Anderson was insisting that when he first faced the Mets it was while the Mets were playing in Yanqui Stadium while Shea was being renovated It took about three innings to correct it and even then only because someone notified the booth that the first version was all wet. Andersen actually came up with the Indians and first faced the Yanx when they were playing at Shea. He obviously had the facts reversed which is like reason #5,681 of why players' recollections of their careers are notoriously inaccurate. Anderson's just flat out awful. And an idiot.
  3. Reed up in the pen.
  4. Cespedillioboom!

  6. Mr T coming through. Niiiice. Ugh, ALL UMPS SUCK! Lets all go become umps cuz they all suck and we'd be good umps!
  7. Ha. EYjr a little over amped. Swish. I'm surprised he didn't end up in left field.

  10. d'Kong76 wrote: Two brain-farts tonight by Cespedes, and the last out at third Keef is hailing it as good try? Youch. I side with you & Howie. Conforto up next!
  11. Wow, what a throw by Sweeny! And the diving tag by Blanco. OH NO!! CARS 4 KIDS! OE: Oh, it's kars with a K. Really?
  12. Phils TV, Mets radio booth. Even though Howie's like 5 seconds ahead, this is pretty kool. Muffy muscle: Howie says not serious.
  13. I can't take this Phils booth any longer. They say Tejada should have caught that line single. He should have...what? Tried a little harder? And the replay shows T full extension just barely getting leather on the ball through extreme effort and the guy just keeps on talking " oh, he should have caught that". ComeONNN! I'll see how un synched the TV is with MLBtv on the PC. Here I come Howie!
  14. Matt can really help his cause here. OOO, deep fly out to center. 7-3 Mets in the 6th. Just for posterity's sake I should mention that when Phillie Brown went over the wall a few innings ago the end result was an inside the park home run for little Ruben Tejada.
  15. Murphy out of the game with at least two ailments according to Phils Booth. One mild, one not so much. Both involved muscles. Woah, Cespedes goes wild!
  16. That is waaay kool
  17. hahooeee! Blanco sucks. 6-0 Mets
  18. Thank you Mr. Howard. I won't say Ryan sucks because I don't make fun of the old and feeble. ANd it was called a double. CONFORTABOOM!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  19. OW! That hadda hurt. Landed right on his ass-bone. And HA!, Brown sucks. Edgy MD wrote: Guy in white shirt, you could have caught him. And then he starts waving. Was he waiving for medical assistance or waving Tejada around the bases? I think he was further away than he looked. Otherwise Browns feet would have hit him.

Centerfield wrote: I'm trying to stay open to the idea that Terry is savvy in ways I can't comprehend that a lifetime of wisdom and a keen eye for practical application of comprehensive data feeds into choices like batting Cespedes second and Kelly Johnson fifth but the decision to go to Parnell and O'Flaherty first out of the pen has me flummoxed. The former is returning from the disabled list in relation to a dubious injury following a bout of self-destruction. The latter has been lost as well, and if he's ever going to be found, it's best to try and get him into lefty-on-lefty match-ups. That the team should hit their way back out a hole only to put the game in these hands puzzles me, as it seems neither beneficial for the team nor the pitchers. Terry openly stated before the game that he wanted to work Gilmartin and Reed in tonight and, well, there was his chance. Nice little lead your team has built up, Terry, but it's too early to coast, if that indeed is what's going on. I thought I knew his game. But 2015 Terry has been an enigma. Yup. The team put up a 4 spot. Get your best guy out there and get back in the dugout. This was a very winnable game. I can see the logic in wanting to get Parnell in a high leverage situation, but start him in a low leverage situation first. And as RD said in another thread, the only good time to pitch O'Flaherty is about 5:15 p.m. lol @ Flahjoke. I'm gonna use that. I didn't actually see the Parnell inning. I did partially hear Howie on the radio and he was so busy pulling a Wilmer Flores in Bobby's regard that I didn't know the details, like how many balls Bobby threw in a row. Last I heard Rose was yelling that he threw it away, on the play at first. I assumed that was Parnell but I'm not sure. Reception was fuzzy. I'm gonna go watch it now. Maybe he did leave Parnell in too long, and using Parnell & then Flaherty back to back is worse than waving a white flag, but still I'll give TC some decent slack. If we don't take tomorrows game I might start feeling different. We just gotta take two of three vs. these guys, I don't care how and I don't care in what order. And if Parnell and uh-O' are rotten eggs, find out and get em out of the basket. If Terry hasn't come to this conclusion I might be swayed to the dark side.

The Mets need the Cards to beat the Nats. It's as simple as that. Where are your priorities? The Cardinals are evil and they always fucking win and nothing good comes of rooting for them. I have nothing against the Nats other than they're in the same division. I have a deep-seated loathing for the Cardinals. lol. Everyone should have their own evil team so I guess I do understand. Mine happens to be the Phils. I don't think I can say loath, or anything deep-seated, just from suffering Phils Nation down here in NJ. So the Nats don't pick up anything after this nightmare of a game. HA! Thats team suckage!
  22. Ha! Phillies post game is all over TC re: Parnell. Let the crucifixion begin! I'm afraid to look on fb.
  23. Benjamin Grimm wrote: Zvon wrote: The consensus is that after just inching in the direction of a comeback @ 6-4, this was not the spot to test Parnell. I say, then when would that spot be? How about in a game where the margin is much greater than two runs? That's the other side of it. And sure. But I'd have wanted to see if we could use Parnell in the clutch, put him in that spot. Sometimes a player will find a little something extra in a big spot. And all he had to do was keep it where it was. I dunno, I just don't hang this on TC. I figured this for a loss before Parnell came in. And we know that Parnell might never again be Bobby of old (surely not this season) and that he might not be good enough to be a pure "pitcher", and that's a shame. I wanted 2 of 3 here vs the Phils. Flush this one. Tomorrow we go get em.
  24. Ha! Phils braintrust sucks.
