  1. Bastardo for Muffy. I should just turn it off.
  2. Edgy MD wrote: Maybe it's my being blacked out and stuck with radio, but this team is dragging ass. It's not your radio. I'm blocked on MLBtv. No FOX TV where you're at? Verrett all done. Ate up 6 plus in a serviceable manner. If we can't get 3 runs we suck. I don't think we suck.

  4. soupcan wrote: And Kenny forgetting # of outs. These two are a dream team. He kept going too. Everyone's walking back to their positions and he keeps going, yak, yak, yak. That must be a play by play guys worst fear. I bet for a split second he was mortified.
  5. Itll take more than that to get out of my doghouse De Aza.
  6. This could be going better. Anyone get hurt yet tonight?
  7. Frayed Knot wrote: And, yes, baseball was never defined as a 'non-contact' sport. I had a conversation with one of my brothers about this last night. He coached baseball for years, has a son about to start college ball. He believes that baseball is not a contact sport and never was, even before the rule changes. He said about 80% of people out there would agree with him. I find this hard to believe but I suppose I wouldn't be surprised if that was the case. I'm gonna start the BASEBALL LIKE IT OUGHTA BE BASEBALL LEAGUE.

  9. Nah - you're creativity is what makes it special! Oh stop it (blushing). I play Colorforms™ with baseball cards
  10. Well, one thing we've seen. This team can turn on a dime and even w/Harvey done, I think we have the personnel to stay the pace. And Sandy isn't finished.
  11. "Arm fatigue not related to the elbow." If they think saying it's not related to the elbow makes me feel better, they're wrong. Now that's 2 things that are wrong with him. I don't think a tired arm brings on a wince.
  12. From that wince I thought his jock yanked out some pubic hairs. That can hurt.
  13. TOPPSnow added another Mets player card. Wilmer's 6 hit game. A beautiful card. I figured they might issue one for Flores but I didn't even go look. Just ran into this while card surfing and I would have to think the opportunity to get Wilmers card has come & gone. Good. It really is a beautiful card though. But not 10 bucks of beautiful. https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-mRhKX8IqB6E/V3_jki3lf-I/AAAAAAAAolc/ajpznmbFZlYLz6gZ8YK6XL7vzVhCVNc4QCCo/s512/16TOPPSnow-WILMER.png> Your card is way cooler! Ha. Well, that smile, that photo, makes that card. And that's all you TMF!
  14. Since when is baseball considered a "non-contact" sport? Not saying this is a bad vein but that's a bunch of bullshit. I understand trying to keep these expensive players safe and what they are doing (I don't agree) but on the other hand they are getting paid VERY well to play baseball, not softball and, yea, it sucks, sometimes people get hurt. Sometimes careers are derailed by injuries. It happens. Such is life. You can't play baseball in a bubble. Blatant barrel rolls or cleats up slides, sure, elbows, head butts, bad, but no more feet first breaking up a double play in a legal manner? A hook slide is illegal? They may as well say on DPs the runner has to veer off, out of the baseline, away from the base, like lazy runners do. There was a day that baseball players were good enough athletes to do what they had to do to avoid contact, and 99% of the time they did. I think this Utley rule is a bunch of overblown bullshit.

  17. Gary said it. Bad day in Metland. Very bad day. We will have to snap right back tomorrow.
  18. bmfc1 wrote: Why wasn't Jose running at some point? Booth is tossing that around. I think he's more nervous on the bases than he is at the plate at this point.
  19. Edgy MD wrote: Squeeze, Grandy! And I was going to respond to this with: anything to stay out of the DP.
  20. Wow. Washington all post season pumped by that DP. We GOTSTA snatch this one from their grasp. We gotsta!
  21. Shit. That was a wicked pitch to Grandy.
  22. We got something going.
  23. Ashie62 wrote: Zvon wrote: Oh come on... Thor done. Not sure why. This is becoming beyond cruel. A mid season nightmare.
  24. I would imagine it would have to be the ball Gary. Winding 'em tighter? Awwww, Wilmer can't do it again. Ks on a Strasburg Special. OE: did you hear that? 1000 more HRs this year?
  25. Flores with a man on. Can he do it again? Can he?
