Verrett with a nice down and in pitch to righties tonight. Looks to drift in towards the handle. Only Franco could get the head out on it and I don't know if that pitch could be hit much harder. Lined out hard to center. I think that pitch is unkaBOOMable.

Gourriel worked out for the Mets today, pic courtesty of his Insta. I haven't heard any leaks from "in-the-know sources", but I put my own personal Paddy Power odds on the Mets signing him at 15:1. Familia pitches seem to display some kind of anti-bat flubberism. They swing the bat where the ball is but then the balls just not there. It goes around the bat.

Great job Blevins. Reed too. Flores is in @2nd., batting 7th. And he's up. A lot of trade talk around Flores during the break. We won't get anything decent for him, even with this hot streak, IMO. Ya gotta be a New Yorker to love Wilmer. And ya gotta beeleeve. Popped out. Took some hefty swings tho.

Egh. Errors kill. Great play to start by Loney, but the toss was just a bit high. Colon was focused on the base and it sailed by his glove. Then a Bourjos triple. Literally. 4-1 NY. Wow, don't see that much. Ball hit Bourjos down the line, but he was standing foul. Ball kicked to fair territory. Just a foul ball. EEk. Franco generates a run. 4-2 NY.
