  1. Tejada will workout tomorrow, and if he's fine will go do some rehab games.
  2. presumably Davis sits for Rottino because Collins couldn't reuse the D.
  3. real good Shake Shack access from LFL too. LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr wrote: Midweek, pre-summer evening? Yeah, you MAY have a few seats to which you can switch, there. and rainy forecast too. if it does rain or drizzle it'll be easy enough to slide back a row or two if you're getting wet, yeah.
  4. i misscounted, I thought it ended at 335, goes to 339. So still left field landing, but more towards the pole. This is from the back of your section. I believe third row is still under the overhang, but it might depend which way the wind is blowing.
  5. i just checked my tix: section 335. That's on the Leftfield side... not the "Pepsi Porch", right? Correct, that's left field landing, also known last year as the BJ's Clubhouse. ...what row?
  6. Edgy DC wrote: Edgy DC wrote: I'd invite Benitez anywhere. ANYWHERE! You'd invite Hitler anywhere if he were a Met fan. Yeah, I think you overestimate my tolerance for genocide. I dunno ,he'd have had a lot less time for genocide if you'd invited him to more Mets games.
  7. Benjamin Grimm wrote: But I bet they're undefeated when he starts and does get the win. Nope, lost every game.
  8. TransMonk wrote: Gee vs. Lee...again. I hope it ends as well for us as it did last time. Phillies are 2-5 when Lee starts and he doesn't have a win.
  9. As if Jayson Stark has any credibility.
  10. Dickey 5.0 Murphy 1.0 Byrdak 1.0 Francisco 1.0 Baxter 1.0 Turner 1.0
  11. it's really a message to reporters "This is what I have to say on the matter. bugger off and stop calling me about it."
  12. Hefner 4.0 Quintanilla 2.5 Hairston 2.0 Davis 0.5 Francisco 0.5 Parnell 0.5
  13. b-r.com play index says there's only one case of a 9th hitter having two HR in Mets history, but I don't have an account so it won't tell me any more than that. nevermind, managed to trick it: Walt Terrell 1983-08-06 against the Cubs. They won 4-1, with Terrell providing all the offense going 2/3 with 2 2-run home runs.

  15. metirish wrote: this will get you unfollowed mate @NY_Sports_World Huge #Mets fan, but nothing's worse than Mets Yearbook ...... I can sorta get if you're not real into the old timey stuff, but what's he want? two blow-hards over-discussing the 'important' issues of the game so far?
  16. Gwreck wrote: Random note for the rain delay: During the aftermath of the Hefner homerun, did anyone else notice Ron talk about Joe Blanton hitting a home run in the World Series, and that he was the "first pitcher" to do so? Obviously that's not quite right, as plenty of other pitchers had done so previously, particularly before the DH. Blanton was, as best as I can tell, the "first NL pitcher to do so in the DH era" which is a pretty arbitrary line to draw for "first." Love our announcing crew but even they're not perfect. Wonder if Babe Ruth did it. *checks* no. but he did have a triple.
  17. LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr wrote: Mike Baxter is not exactly making anyone forget Bay with his defense. Actually, he kind of makes you remember Bay. that was a tricky one. it was literally impossible to use his glove to pick it up, it was rolling under the padding. can we ..pad that maybe?
  18. it's alright, the Mets double that with help from the Phillies loltastic defense.

    PoW

John Cougar Lunchbucket wrote: You got it wrong. It was the heavy schedule of Barnes & Nobling and Red-Carpet appearances early on that cost him PoW honors in the season's first 7 weeks. he's having a Q-A session before today's game i believe. like, probably right now.
  20. Halladay shut down minimum 3 weeks w grade 1-2 shoulder ( right latissimus dorsi) strain. Phillies hope to have him back 6-8 weeks. I think they're hoping Worley is back in a moment to replace him.
  21. Tyner managed to stick around through 2009. .323 career slugging. He did finally get that one home run.
  22. thanks, I'm wishing I'd ventured in further than the first ramp. Although who knows what or who is hanging out in the stands or under them. (And technically there are no trespassing signs somewhere, hopelessly faded)
  23. Since we were talking about it yesterday.. Run down little place. Guy nearby saw me taking pictures and asked if I was from Paterson and started talking about how they left it out of the National Park designation and that means they can't get it renovated without 20 million. Ashie62 wrote: On 8/18/1946 Jackie Robinson broke the color barrier in the Minors against the Jersey City Giants at 24,000 seat Roosevelt Stadium. Maybe thats it. I know he never played in Hinchcliffe Stadium in Paterson. There's a statue in Journal Square of Jackie near my last job. anyways.. Hinchcliffe (and man, it's hot out there today)
  24. MFS62 wrote: Put me in, coach. I'm ready to play. Still deciding whether it will be Thursday (off day) or Friday. Later Don't forget Carlos!
  25. Is 'concentration' code for something? Do they think he was pouting after being demoted?
