  2. AGH AGH AGH - it's Segura rather then Gregorius but what did i tell ya
  3. great 1st pitch strike again' Segura.
  4. C'MON MIGUEL - betcha gregorious gets some sort of ground ball single

  6. though Castro does look like a dude.
  7. THIS IS FUCKING TORTURE

Well then he shouldn't go walking the #8 & 9 hitters. of course - and in fairness the results will show it was the correct decision to take him out and I was wrong! And I'm not saying that it's cut and dried either way ... only that there was at least as good an argument for making the change as not. And the shortened game takes that up a notch as well.
  10. I'd keep Castro in here.

  14. go Miguel - 1 down 1 to go.
  15. i just think Castro is going to come in undercooked and give up a 2 run double.

  17. I like the chances of two wins here
  18. that's the lefty!
  19. I listen to the Buster Olney one and the Shea Anything. I also like listening to Effectively Wild which used to be from Baseball Prospectus but is now from Fangraphs.
  20. To my mind it should be like cricket - called by the guys on the field & they've got 10 seconds to do it. This whole looking at the video thing to check is terrible. There can be certain things that the umpires are also allowed to ask for help on (has the catch hit the grass/ball gone over the wall) themselves.
  21. even the 'minor league FA types' that aren't on the 40 yet that they still have seem pretty soft -Jose Perraza, Mallex Smith and Brandon Drury are the only ones that have more then a smidgeon of ML experience.
  22. we have very few options in the minors on the position player side that are on the 40-man. Might explain why they're so slow to send JD Davis on the IL.
  23. Look - he got clipped by it - he appealed for it and got given. It wasn't like he dived in the box, it was more that he fell over in coming together and made the case. You get given it you take it and move on, there'll be ones that go against you. and I HAD NO PROBLEM with it. ...
