  7. Another win, remember the good old days. Vote!
  8. We won this game, so I'm sure you want to vote.
  9. With minors in the forum, some things have to change. But worry not, I got some ice cream to take away some of the sting of this awful game. Root beer floats for everyone!!!!Box Score
  10. The Mets (slurping sound)!!!!!Or it's the curse of my computer.Pre-crash: Mets up 4 runs with a mere two outs to go.Post-crash: Mets are loosers.

  13. Did we win this thing? My f'in browser crapped out with one out in the 9th and I had to reboot.
  14. I saw Bay's catch and the replays of said catch.Castro totally Timo'ed on that play.C'mon Aaron, don't Looper this.
  15. I second that. The A-P thread sometimes make it hard to find commentary on a particular event when your scanning through threads.
  16. Which brings up the legend of The Madness of King George. Great movie by the way.
  17. Or zero for the movies that absolutely (perform acts not describable on a family-friendly forum).
  18. 10's good. You can also do half stars, but it's gonna add up to 10 choices either way.
  19. I'm so joining that pirate forum.
  20. This will save you some time: link
  21. Aaaaargh, this is a series to be well-worth watchin' matie.

The only time I've ever seen him give less than two stars to a movie was for Gigli._________________"The World is Quiet Here"Back to topView user's profile Send private message metirish191) Tom Gorman RP, SP, 1982-1985Joined: 04 Jun 2005Posts: 3208Location: NYPostPosted: Fri Jul 08, 2005 11:23 am Post subject: Reply with quoteI enjoyed Independence Day, it was total mindless bollox but still fun, IIRC some USA,USA,USA chants went up in the theater when our hero saved the day,now that was weird._________________"Peace is not only better than war, but infinitely more arduous."George Bernard ShawBack to topView user's profile Send private message Send e-mail AIM Address Yancy Street Gang73) Art Shamsky OF, 1B, 1968-1971Joined: 04 Jun 2005Posts: 5570Location: The Baxter BuildingPostPosted: Fri Jul 08, 2005 11:25 am Post subject: Reply with quoteThe Daily News and the Philadelphia Inquirer both gave the FF one and a half stars. My expectations are low. Any thrill I get out of the movie will be a pleasant surprise.I think this thread is forking...
  23. Foster's similarity scores are interesting. #1 one a beloved Met/Dodger who a lot of people would like to put in the hall of fame. #2 a paroled convict who brought down the Dukakis campaign. 1. Gil Hodges (921) 2. Willie Horton (917) 3. Fred Lynn (914) 4. Del Ennis (910) 5. Rocky Colavito (910) 6. Jack Clark (907) 7. Joe Adcock (906) 8. Tino Martinez (906) 9. Matt Williams (903) 10. Lee May (901)
  24. Beltran is younger too. I think Mets fans excitement over Foster was curtailed by the realization that his All-Star days were behind him. Fans now realisticallly expect some good years from Beltran (I hope).
