  1. It's not really points more like a fraction of a point. And no it wasn't me.
  2. Congrats Carlos on your first PotM!
  3. If only he'd buy the Mets, that would turn the team around.
  4. Meet the Tiggers

  6. I'm so dumb I've got my team in last place and don't even know proper protocol for making trades. Here's the deal: I've got one great player, Alex Rodriguez. I want to get rid of him cuz as in real life he's a "cooler" on my team (SC=82). In return I'd like multiple players with decent stats that I can use to replace some of the stiffs on my team. Make your best offer.
  7. OK, really when I click "propose trade" I have to select one team and then have to select at least one of that team's players or I get an error message. I don't see a way to just say "A-Rod's avaialable to one and all, please make an offer." If you guy's know something else let me know. I also don't know how to cancel this trade proposal that everyone hates.
  8. Sorry I don't know how to shop around. I figured if I'm going to be in last place I can do it without A-Rod, whom I loathe. Smg58 is the only who had a third baseman listed on his wish list so I offered him the trade. I'm not particularly more friendly with smg58 than anyone else.
  9. What do you mean lazy? It's not like she can sit down and work with a cat on her butt.
  10. ="HahnSolo"]About Lets Go Mets, when did the crowd start adding in "hoo" in the chant? Let's Go Mets hoo Let's Go Mets hoo I can't stand that. And it seems acceptible now. I don't think people are saying "hoo!" so much as that's the sound of thousands of people inhaling at once in-between chanting Lets Go Mets. Or maybe people thought the inhaling sounded like "hoo!" and started saying "hoo!" I dunno.
  11. When I pass Seaver I want to be this guy for a while: And then a flying toaster.
  12. Not to sound arrogant (I mean I am great, but this is props to you all as well) but I really enjoy the discusions my "Being..." threads engender.
  13. Chavez 1.5 Martinez 5 Sanchez 1.5 Valentin 1 Wagner 1
  14. Edgy DC wrote: I remember reading that Ricky Henderson was supposed to re-join the Mets in June. You're kidding! I guess he's still younger than Franco by a few months but I think he's past his prime.
  15. ="cooby"]]C Paul LoDuca - Stayin' Alive, Bee Gees, Boogie Shoes, KC & The Sunshine Band, Shining Star, Earth, Wind & Fire I've noticed that, and wondered--is he a disco guy? He's from Brooklyn just like John Travolta's character in Saturday Night Fever. Maybe he struts too.
  16. Edgy DC wrote: The things I could accomplish if only Pedro would once touch my buttocks. Bullet of cool? Or gay icon going too far?
  17. We'll be Koosmen together soon. So Jerry Koosman is another Met before my time. I always thought he was underappreciated standing in the shadow of Seaver, so its good he's ranked the #3 Met of all time to give him some props. I find it interesting that he finished second in Cy Young Award voting in 1976 to Randy Jones, mainly because I have no frickin' clue who Randy Jones is (especially since he eventually became a Met too). Of course the cool trivia is that Koosman was on the mound for the final out of the 1969 World Series. He was trade for Jesse Orosco who was on the mound for the final out of the 1986 World Series. I think there's some more interesting trivia in the trade chain too, but that's Dickshot's territory.
  18. And not being Yancy Street Gang. (More later, I've got to be elsewhere right now).

  20. Wagner's in for a non-save situation. Expect a 5-run rally.
  21. Sammy Sosa, I'm in Love with Baseball Now
  22. Vic Sage wrote: Maddux is an old and expensive 6-inning pitcher, And we want to add him to the Mets because...?
  23. Vic Sage wrote: I also have a problem with owners and/or managers who insist on a "facial hair and hair length" team standard. Baseball ain't the army; hell, it ain't football, either. On the one hand, they're running businesses and have the right to set standards for their employees. On the other hand if the standards they set are stupid and pointless then they deserve to be mocked (and these are stupid and pointless).
  24. Zvon wrote: What motivated me to start it was this deal where Bonds was hit by a pitch tonight. The opposing pitcher was tossed with no warning (as far as I know). WTF? Ill have to see this again on Sportcenter or Baseball 2night, cuz i dont understand why this pitcher was tossed. What?-Are you not allowed to make mistakes? or pitch inside? No warning? Is this because it was Bonds at bat? Springer fined
