  1. ="Edgy DC"]="G-Fafif"]]Where do I get a handsome 14 14 37 47 T-shirt? Close enough. Our merchandise department will be gearing up in the next month. Will post details when they are available. I just immortialized Tom Glavine at the expense of Jackie Robinson. I don't deserve a t-shirt. I don't deserve clothes of any sort, do I? Im all out of faith, this is how I feel Im cold and I am shamed lying naked on the floor
  2. Soupy, if it's any consolotion, I had no idea and I'm an avid FAFIF reader. I do not watch SNY however.
  3. Funny. I thought that the the thick 1970's "Chico and The Man" moustache was the problem, not the ears.

  5. Didn't he only appear 5 times?
  6. Just for laughs.
  7. Phil Humber.
  8. I actually thought the Mets had the night off until about 9 pm when I got an email from Scarlett Knight where she said she was at the game in Philly. I told her about thinking the Mets had the night off and she wrote: ]They've been taking the night off, regardless of the game in progress Truer words never been spoke.

After all, the Tiggers went to the WS last year, and the Phils haven't sniffed an October for some time. I mean, it's one thing to lose by 16 to the defending AL champs, but by seven to Philadelphia? Well, that something only the Flushing Nine could do. Good job. This could be kind of a creative writing contest.
  12. Mike DeFelice.
  13. Silver lining for the night. How could the NY tabloids make Yankees look better than the Mets tomorrow?
  14. Every Met who has appeared in this game tonight.
  15. holychicken wrote: ="Willets Point"]="Edgy DC"]I don't think so, but I think I counted "Do we have the correct Pedro guessed yet"" or whatever it was as a guess. Fishing guesses count, just not one so blatantly farcical as yours. I wasn't one of the people who guessed on Pedro though. Be careful, this is the equivalent of arguing balls and strikes. Yes, and I don't really care that much about my score either. That and I overlooked the chance to guess the one who is pretty obviously Milledge.

  17. Edgy DC wrote: Playing the "five points for a correct guess, and minus one for an incorrect guess" system, we're at: You didn't count the Shawn Green comment as a guess did you?
  18. He's wearing Shawn Green's jersey but doesn't look like Green.
  19. Carlos Delgado hitting with baserunners in scoring position? It's obviously animated because it can't be real.
  20. smg58 wrote: Looking at that, given that the Brewers have played quite a bit more games outside their division than the other teams and (unlike the others) are at least close to .500, you have to think they'll start padding their lead soon. Not the way things are turning out for Milwaukee. They may end up as this year's Reds. Current out-of-division records: Chicago 31-33 Milwaukee 29-31 St. Louis 27-33 Houston 27-32 Cincinnati 26-32 Pittsburgh 25-35
  21. Wow, the Mets are a whole 7 games behind their pace of last season. But the Phillies and Braves are only doing slightly better than last year. Regardless, and despite last night's suckfest, I'm still feeling pretty good about the Mets going into September.
  22. From the posts with no responses that make absolutely no sense out of context department.
  23. SteveJRogers wrote: Entertaining book about the relationship the city and the team had, specifically that year's squad who puts the "Bad Guys" of 1986 and the Bronx Zoo to shame in terms of internal strife. I don't think the '86 Mets were torn by internal strife. They partied hard, did drugs and executed cats but got along with one another for the most part. They just fought everyone else.
  24. TransMonk wrote: The feeling in the Midwest right now is that the Cardinals are going to come on strong and steal the division from the Cubs and Brewers. Bastards!
  25. I can't believe the bleeping Cards are back in this.
