  3. My mancrush crushes it man!
  4. What is it about Yankees fans that they need constant reconfirmation of the Yankees greatness? If they go a day (an hour?) without a puff-piece will doubts start to creep in? Perhaps they may realize that Jeter is a good player, but not among the greatest of all time? Would that realization make them happier or crush their simplistic worldview?
  5. I joined. So now you know who will be the cellar-dweller.
  6. Edgy DC wrote: I submitted a post about The Miracle Has Landed, but it hasn't landed. You need to donate a copy of that book to the NYPL system because it's not in their catalog.
  7. I did my best in the comments.
  8. Maybe not a big shot, but New York Public Library blogger Donald Laub gives a shoutout to his favorite team.
  9. I really want Edgy to appear on that podcast.
  10. I didn't realize there was a competitive advantage for a pitcher to have a zombie arm exploding out of his chest. The Mets need a voodo witch doctor on their staff.
  11. "Silly hostile Phillies fans" is like tripplely redundant.
  12. Miss Rheingold? Nah, it was an okay beer, but I'm okay with a 'Gansett.
  13. Shouldn't we try to stick to images of pitchers and catchers only?
  14. A statue of a pitcher can stare at you intimidatingly, like this statue of Cy Young in Boston.
  15. I read the book which was pretty good. The 2-minute trailer for the movie indicates that they totally Hallmarked the story. I won't be seeing it.
  16. One ex-Met will participate in this weekend's Faith Bowl where they will say things like this: That's where we have to redirect our energy, to teach our young men, this is what a real man is, being a faithful husband, present father and as well as a provider. Dont live the life others want you to live. Live the life God wants you to live.
  17. I think "penny wise, pound foolish" may more accurately describe the Wilpons.
  18. Ah Crash, the worst movie of the decade.
  19. BTW, I don't see this anywhere on the Mets' homepage.
  20. I do believe in comebacks. I do, I do, I do.
  21. I believe in comebacks.
  22. There don't seem to be any video rental stores left in my burgh. I hardly watch any movies any more but when I do Netflix (usually instant view) or the public library fit the bill.
