Pitched well enough to make himself unaffordable to the Mets.

He seemed so sad...like Johnny Deep in "Cry Baby."

The Bobby Backlash (split from GM-Man. Changes/ Speculation)

Heres to hoping Bobby V can make things miserable for the MFY's. -
Vic Sage wrote: Jake fox. He's a Nick Evans type with a catcher's mitt. Actually, he's got a pronounced reversed platoon split, hitting RHP better in his career so far. But he's still under 30, with real power, multi-position flexibility (1b/3b/Lf/Rf/C) and will probably be cheap. Sound's like Crash Davis' cousin.

Edgy DC wrote: You don't have to believe in Johan Santana's "comeback." You get anything out of him, and it's an improvement on 2011. You're already paying, so relative to last season, anything you get is free. Free? I'm not comfortable with that even in a "relatively" sense.

But for the grace of God....

Nieuwenhuis looks like Jeff Spiccoli.

I was looking at a list of guys likely to go one year for about 4 million and it appeared grisly I guess thats why they are cheap. I wonder if Sandy is just going to bide time until the homegrowns are ready and fill in a few inexpensive needs in the interim. I mean, do you want Erik Bedard for one year???

I was unaware that Loewen was guaranteed a starting job to the exclusion of all other contenders. I felt like Loewen was being presented as a serious short term answer and got carried away..Sorry FK Shit, if we're not spending you might as well pencil in Nieuwenhuis in the OF and Reese Havens in the IF The FA list is pretty uninspiring IMHO..

Ankiel can hit though... Maybe Sandy can cut costs further OF/RP? Loewen has to be for organizational depth.

Is it possible Reyes is turning off other teams something beyond his injury history and a crappy economy? I only say that because they way he left that last game when he knew people were there specifically to see him makes me wonder if he comes across as a selfish prick? Kinda like me.. He appears to have become affordable in most markets.

One League with 4 divisions. AL and NL does not mean much to me anymore. DH allowed. I'm sick of pitchers that can't hit and the constant stream of relief pitchers in the NL. Blow it up..
