  1. Minneapolis.
  2. Lefty Specialist wrote: The old drunk staggers out of bed at the hot-sheets motel along old Route 13 fully clothed, reeking of Old Grand-Dad and Lucky Strikes, fumbling for his drug store sunglasses to shield his bloodshot eyes from the pitiless noonday sun. He shuffles barefoot among the empty liquor bottles on the floor, empties his bladder at the toilet that won't flush properly then vents at his laptop for a minute and 19 seconds, screaming into the void in the desperate hope that somebody will actually care enough to send him a little validation or even money to cover his back taxes. His task finished, he vomits quietly on his Members Only jacket for the third time this week and slumps in the rickety motel chair, completely spent, oblivious to the manager's pounding fist on the flimsy motel door echoing through the squalid room, portending forcible eviction. Charles Bukowski could have written this.
  3. Nothing wrong with a safe pick.
  4. "What's the deal with 'Dealing'?" Awesome!
  5. Buck is a good manager and I liked him on Seinfeld.
  6. Not Art Howe?
  7. Locally Gil was unduly overshadowed by Duke Snider, who was elected long ago Gil's numbers alone should have gotten him in 30 years ago. He also enjoyed 1969 Mets gravitas.
  8. Mr Slate, Mr Slave, whatever. Transgender maybe.
  9. I went with Eppler. It speaks to the future.
  10. Edgy MD wrote: Changes in how you or I would like to see the draft conducted is one thing. What is a draft lottery supposed to do for the players, though? Remove an incentive/justification for tanking. Do MLB teams tank for the draft. I don't think so. It's not like the NBA where you would likely get an instant impact starter. Ys on the DH. I can't stand watching pitchers bat. Agreed, a 27 man roster would create jobs and cut much of the nonsensical daily callups.
  11. Baez is going into exile in Detroit.
  12. In his very short time as a Met I remember him as a bum.
  13. What not to like or love? That they brought in four guys who are 32 or older speaks to a win now roster build. On Max's worst day he is likely better than the Mickey Lolich the Mets got late in his career.
  14. I might go to James McCann shoes and then pick up Hager slacks.
  15. How is George Theodore a bird?
  16. Might they be loking to trade Dom?
  17. Marte and Canha, awesome!
  18. Is it possible Uncle Steve is a moron? Somebody call Oakland about those players on clearance.
  19. If Syndergaard got 21 million what would Matz get? 25 million? who knows.
  20. Maybe the Mets let the Angels have Noah as compensation for Eppler.
  21. He was a guy I thought could get 27 k's in a game.
  22. Sore armed pitchers are a dime a dozen. Noah is replaceable. I can look at him on someone else' IR. He went to a bottom dwelling team that sucks every year despite having two of the best talents in the game so he can live with that. Yes on Stroman, that's easy.
