  1. So basically Houston we do have a problem?
  2. Power outage at Citi. No TV for now Don't know if they are playing
  3. They are certainly not Lee Leonard and Bill Mazer
  4. I have them going 25-3 to maybe get lucky but 28-0 works best
  5. That problem is the gem that Christian Scott is going to throw tonight What may not be a problem is Hunter Brown. In his last 21.1 innings he has walked 15 batters and the Astros have lost the last for that he has started The pitching matchups this weekend are 8/28 Hunter Brown 3-3 3.51 1.33 vs Christian Scott 4-3 3.73 1.32 8/29 Christian Javier 1-4 6.47 1.66 vs Nolan McLean 9-8 3.21 1.14 8/30 Brian Pecko 0-0 7.88 1.88 vs Zack Thornton 3-4 3.88 1.15 Yordan Alvarez is the big power threat with 36 homers .319 36 91 1.044 The Astros beat the Yanks 5-1 yesterday. On any given day the Astros may or may not be in playoff position. That's the current state of the American League After firing the GM and assuming the role himself the owner Crane has had hired Brent Strom as a pitching consultant for the balance of the season Veteran 1B Christian Walker has slumped to the tune of 6 hits in his last 50 at bats. Naturally his bat woke up last night with a homer in the Bronx. Hopefully this doesn't wake him up to do damage this weekend LGM
  6. Chourio homers to right Mis has a 4-0 lead
  7. They are playing now Brewers up 2-0 in the first
  8. That's Mr Idiot to you! It is pouring rain at Citi
  9. I would have no issue with Green returning as manager. I believe the oft mentioned Carlos Beltran is too big for the job. If Beltran was failing as a manager who would be willing to fire this legend? Maybe anyone but I don't think so Green as a GM? For what? to submit transactions? As long as Stearns is here he will call almost 100% of the shots I don't think Green will return as manager. It is New York and I'm guessing they want some name recognition although Mendoza didn't really have any Maybe Green finds himself "promoted" to another organization LGM
  10. I haven't seen a show since Oh Calcutta The forecast for Flushing shows rain ending around 5pm
  11. I cannot imagine Carlos Mendoza pulling a player mid game for lack of effort
  12. Marv Albert was one of the earliest announcements on my hidden bedtime transistor radio. Dick Wiess before him
  13. I wouldn't be surprised but I consider it unlikely
  14. No, but possibly onto Netflix by now
  15. Robert Jr has been red hot. But arguably not as hot as Pete Alonso who went 4-4 last night bringing him to .276 31 84 .876 for the season So yes, I hope the Mets win. The also lowly Royals have now won eight in a row so why can't the Mets? The Mets have not been eliminated LGM
  16. Good teams win, bad teams do what the Mets are doing
  17. This will not end well Boooo
  18. Surprise of the game for me is how well Zack Thornton has done
  19. Can we get a Tuesday night Mets Club win
  20. The Brewers don't make a lot of mistakes and are sharp in all departments Let's win one two or three. Don't get swept LGM
  21. Erick Fedde will be the primary thrower for the White Sox Luis Robert Jr met my call for revenge yesterday and I hope he can do it again
