    Resource wise Steve Cohen brings as much to the table as anyone including the Dodgers It does feel like what the Dodgers obtain turns into gold and what the Mets get turns to poo figuratively I consider Cohen responsible for getting Soto and am trying to remember any great Mets acquisition successes primarily orchestrated by Stearns

    A top 100 prospect for Peralta is a stretch unless maybe he is injured Stearns is very aware of whatever he brings in for Peralta will be compared to Jett Williams and Brandon Sproat. Granted those two haven't done much but still it has to weigh on Stearns

    Mike Sirota is the guy the Dodgers seem open to moving They got him in a trade in 2024 with the Reds for Gavin Lux Sirota is red smoking hot now at AA and a great time to make him available at top dollar. That would allow them to keep Zyhir Hope and Jorge DePaula Note to Stearns, please don't overplay Peralta to dust

    The Mets basically gave up two top 100's in Jett Williams and Brandon Sproat to have Freddy Peralta for a full year and possibly leverage to extend him So one Top 100 seems a reasonable ask for Peralta at least to me I don't think the Mets will get one unless maybe they add something

    Freddy Peralta is primarily a victim of pitching on a very bad ball club and expecting him to do the work of an ace His metrics are largely unchanged from prior seasons
