  3. Jed Lowrie in more threads than games. [tweet] https://twitter.com/susanslusser/status/1638918525648793600[/tweet] No one who ever experienced the Mets' version of Jed Lowrie would presume he'd be successful at anything besides stealing someone's money.
  4. =DocTee post_id=120434 time=1679581420 user_id=85] Putting postseason aside is silly.

The apps for those channels depend on you paying for cable subscriptions Live sports are the only thing keeping me subscribing to a traditional provider. For pre filmed shows we can certainly get by with Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime etc. But I need my baseball and my son his AEW wrestling
  6. I meant to watch some WBC but did not. I can't really say why. I guess I just didn't care that much.
  7. We were in town for my mom's memorial service, which was Saturday evening. We flew in Friday and home Monday, so that left us with one day to have a bit of fun in Florida. My wife and daughter opted for shopping at a big outlet mall. My son and I opted for baseball, naturally. That's not a great capture, he had a big ol grin on his face for the majority of the game. This was my early birthday gift to him as he turns 18 on Friday. The guy to my son's left, and his wife, were some serious Jersey people. I told the guy he looked and sounded like he just rolled out of the Bada Bing club. He paused for a good 8-10 seconds and then went, "OK, enough of that." They were great.
  8. From this past Sunday. Great vantage point to watch from. We enjoyed watching just how far breaking pitches were breaking, especially as thrown by righties as they broke towards us. https://ibb.co/vDW8G5s
  9. Cool, cloudy and breezy day at Clover Park but a lot of good things happening. Never saw a player hit for the cycle live before. Also bumped into Terry Collins in the 7th inning and grabbed a quick selfie with him. Nice man. Viewable on my IG page
  10. Make that fourth row
  11. Look for Fboy and I today on SNY about 9-10 rows behind the plate. He's got a Mets blue shirt on with a big NY logo and I'm rocking black with the Mr. Met as the MLB logo. This is of course once we get through a big shit show or trying to park
  12. =bmfc1 post_id=119972 time=1679018602 user_id=73] Elieser Hernandez gave up two runs tonight. He's not doing well and that's leaving a Trevor Williams-size hole in the bullpen.
  13. He dinged his ankle. I worry not.

  17. Ronny Mauricio hit his 4th HR of the spring and it was one of the farthest I've seen at Clover Park: https://twitter.com/AnthonyDiComo/status/1634983863884869632?s=20https://twitter.com/AnthonyDiComo/status/1634983863884869632?s=20 Yeah I cannot recall anyone ever hitting the ball over that concession roof/tent before.
  18. Frayed Knot wrote: Brandon's being very chatty in a dugout interview which is great as it's keeping Michelle on camera longer than usual. SNY is airing the WPIX broadcast this evening. And I concur one zillion percent. I hope Steve Gelbs gets lost in Mongolia.
  19. Several posters have complained they don't get WPIX broadcasts. The booth, I have no idea who the guy is with Keef, just said all 31 games this year on PIX will be streamed on https://pix11.com/https://pix11.com/ Yeah but not for schlubs like me in the blackout zone. Those games technically should have been on the SNY app last year, except they weren't, because MLB hates its fans more than homeless people hate toothbrushing.
  20. As per manager of the year Buck Schowalter, Senga has tendonitis and would have pitched through it had this been a regular season start. So I guess that's better news than a number of the alternatives. Hopefully it doesn't linger.
  21. Marte looked great as did Verlander. Split squad so there weren't a ton of opening day regulars in this lineup, but, still, nice sunny day at the ballpark.
  22. Going to save the afternoon games from today and tomorrow and watch them in the evening when I have more leisure time
  23. I think this guy has a wider range of possible outcomes than any other 2023 Met.

A Boy Named Seo wrote: Edgy MD wrote: I have my quibbles, but I like that they went straight to Lucas as their football example of what they are looking for, a broadly marketed studio film that is just wrong and awful at every level. I haven't seen Lucas since the 90s but I loved it! Nerdy, insect-loving kid with a crush on a Goonie who was out of his league. Charlie Sheen as the jock with a heart who kept Lucas from getting his ass kicked even though Lucas secretly resented him cause they both liked the cute Goonie. And a young Wynona Rider as Corey Haim's unrequited love interest. THAT MOVIE HAD IT ALL Seconded. This is a generational thing too as I saw this movie 687 times on HBO as a kid and loved it each time.
  25. Chris Sale had a similar injury last year and debuted in June. This might be a bit
