  1. =ashie62 post_id=164564 time=1722296936 user_id=90] It looks like the Marlins to me
  2. Not so rare today. ⚾️ Immaculate Grid 484 9/9: Rarity: 124 IMMACULATE! 🟩🟩🟩 🟩🟩🟩 🟩🟩🟩 DET/MIN - Jack Morris 30 DET/2000H - Gary Sheffield 2 DET/40HR - Hank Greenberg 15 BOS/MIN - David Ortiz 41 BOS/2000H - Bill Buckner 1 BOS/40HR - Yaz 6 MIL/MIN - Carlos Gomez 5 MIL/2000H - Paul Molitor 18 MIL/40HR - Richie Sexson 6
  3. Benjamin Grimm wrote: I wouldn't be at all surprised (or disappointed, depending on the return of course) to see Baty traded. Howie talked about this a bit on today's radio broadcast. He suggested that players drafted by the previous regime, such as BB, might be more likely to be dealt, given the current FO's inheritance of them as opposed to hand selected draftees/prospects.
  4. Rough one. Napped through the competitive innings and hit the pool just as Olsen went yard. Floated and listened to Keith & Howie on XM so at least the call was good, if not the results.
  5. ⚾️ Immaculate Grid 483 9/9: Rarity: 107 IMMACULATE! 🟩🟩🟩 🟩🟩🟩 🟩🟩🟩 LAD/CIN - Yasiel Puig 17 LAD/SS - Maury Wills 4 LAD/6WAR - Roy Campanella 3 TEX/CIN - Josh Hamilton 24 TEX/SS - Elvis Andrus 21 TEX/6WAR - Mark Teixeira 3 ATL/CIN - Deion Sanders 17 ATL/SS - Rafael Furcal 13 ATL/6WAR - Eddie Mathews 5
  6. Hated this guy as a Marlin and will continue on hating him as an MFY. Eat a dicknut, Chaz Jizzum
  7. Highly unrare but 9/9 is 9/9. I sat on STL/MIL for a while and circled back to it. ⚾️ Immaculate Grid 479 9/9: Rarity: 185 IMMACULATE! 🟩🟩🟩 🟩🟩🟩 🟩🟩🟩 DET/MIA - Miggie Cabrera 48 DET/STL - Octavio Dotel 5 DET/HOF - Al Kaline 24 NYY/MIA - Al Leiter 3 NYY/STL - Carlos Beltran 5 NYY/HOF - Catfish Hunter .9 MIL/MIA - Christian Yelich 54 MIL/STL - Kolten Wong 29 MIL/HOF - Paul Molitor 18
  8. My favorite aspect of NYM/NYY subway series games is watching dejected Yankee fans in the stands when their team is losing. That shit is like catnip to me
  9. Hell of a job by Diekman to shut the door there.
  10. Ugh Vientos apparently wears 27 because that was Stanton's number when he came up with Miami. Well we'll forgive him for that I suppose
  11. TBS crew already annoyed me, four pitches in. Sorry Frenchy but this PBP guy sucks a toe
  12. Most nights it's a pretty nondescript group of OFs up here. The talent on the field in on the infield
  13. Edgy MD wrote: I wonder if McNelly and Lindor went at it in the tunnel again over whose job it was to cover second. Yeah that was a shit show. The last thing 2024 Diaz needs is to be asked to get more outs.
  14. Benjamin Grimm wrote: My usual Met/Astro is Jerry Grote. I usually default to Derek Bell for the good rarity score on NYM/HOU as I did today. Also a good choice for NYM/PIT and PIT/HOU
  15. Yeah they should be winning this game 10-2, honestly. Let's hope this lead holds up and/or gets bolstered. Encouraged by the undead McNeil that replaced Corpsy McPopout
  16. Teams come out of the break cold sometimes. I am not worried (yet). A win today would help.
  17. ⚾️ Immaculate Grid 477 9/9: Rarity: 95 IMMACULATE! 🟩🟩🟩 🟩🟩🟩 🟩🟩🟩 PHL/SD - John Kruk 34 PHL/HOU - Billy Wagner 4 PHL/20W - Robin Roberts 14 NYM/SD - Randy Jones 3 NYM/HOU - Derek Bell 2 NYM/20W - Kooz 10 SUB3/SD - Jake Peavy 16 SUB3/HOU - JR RIchard 10 SUB3/20W - Doc Gooden 2
  18. Edgy MD wrote: Your Ed Lynch might actually be Ed Lynch, but probably isn't. Nonetheless, Ed's as good a stand-in for the rest of his colleagues as any. The question is β€” who is the Met pitcher who you think of as holding down a spot in the rotation for a long period, without being particularly productive, but nonetheless better-than-the-next-guy enough to persist in his role over and over again? Steve Traschel comes to mind
  19. And now we play the waiting game. I miss the days when the 2nd half resumed on the Thursday after the game, at least for some of the teams.
  20. ⚾️ Immaculate Grid 472 9/9: Rarity: 62 IMMACULATE! 🟩🟩🟩 🟩🟩🟩 🟩🟩🟩 LAD/BOS - Rich Hill 1 LAD/ROY - Todd Hollandsworth 7 LAD/300HR - Gil Hodges 2 MVP/BOS - Jim Rice 8 MVP/ROY - Fred Lynn 14 MVP/300HR - Larry Walker .6 GG/BOS - Jacoby Ellsbury 4 GG/ROY - Ichiro 22 GG/300HR - Rafael Palmeiro 3
  21. It'd be tough to think of something lower on the list of things I give a shit about than the home run derby. Watched Pete. Then turned it off. Agree it's kinda boring. I think there's ways you can make it fun though. For HR derby, you can switch it up year to year between an individual competition and AL vs. NL. Five guys, 20 swings each or something like that. You can have a skills competition. Bunting. Fielding. You can set up a course where you field a ball then fire it at target. Make it fun. I don't know that it would be enough to get Fman to watch. Maybe if the losing team wives/GF's then had to walk around the outfield topless. Ceetar, ABNS & I talked about this a bit last night in our most recent https://barleyprose.com"Mets On Tap" podcast episode. I also advocated for the skills competition. I'd watch even a titty-less version of that I think.

  23. While all star caliber Mets Lindor & Nimmo stay home and make frowny faces (or take vacations and get rest, like I know). Not to put down Iglesias' on field contributions which have wildly exceeded any reasonable expectations a Mets fan might have had when he was called up.
  24. Lefty Specialist wrote: Well, there was bound to be a clunker in there somewhere. Thought this too, they went 7-2 in their last 9 before the break. That's a pretty good clip.
