  1. We're heading to the game this Sunday with YoungerPooper's school excursion, where I'll try to avoid involuntarily cursing around familia as Familia walks in the go-ahead run in the seventh.
  2. =Fman99 post_id=11781 time=1559432782 user_id=86] Had a nap. Still pretty beat. Might need another snooze before the first pitch.
  3. I was kinda wondering why we were seeing less and less of him on SNY. That he seemed to get even less airtime than usual after Darling's illness was announced probably indicates that this was a long time coming, for whatever reason.
  4. Ramos has more of those this year than, say, Nimmo does. Ma-RON, Roberts with these damn mid-inning pitching changes.
  5. Who would have guessed that the one starter to give us seven strong this series would be ol' Edward James Vargas?
  6. Shame to leave Poor Richard-Rich hanging out there like that.
  7. What manner of heavy-lidded sorcery is this, I do not know.
  8. Fair. But then, they haven't retired 34 or 55, either.
  9. Deep background! Nice. Good hustle and all, I suppose, but am I wrong in thinking that was kind of a dumbshit move that just happened to work out for Joc?
  10. See, THIS is a Bashlor kinda night, Mick. Or should be.
  11. Johnny Lunchbucket wrote: Yeah the first Alonso HR looked bogus to me. He's got freaky strength but he barely struck it So what you're saying is, you think it was CGI?
  12. I LOVE that the SNY production team finds time to get the obligatory taillights-of-early-departures parking lot shot on-air.
  13. Smith, to the same damn spot.
  14. Rose tattoo, more like it. That wasn't a terrible pitch he hit.
  15. Hey, Frazier's alive! Gomez follows with a grounder through the left side that the Dodger scorer will no doubt try to mark as an error. Another hit, and we've got a stew going.
  16. Two-strike offspeed in the zone: an even-worse idea
  17. Edgy MD wrote: Somebody's gonna hit that big, bendy curve a half mile. If there's a man to do it... That curve. Man. It's soooo "Baseball Bugs," isn't it?
  18. HOLY FUCKING SHIT! WE SUCCESSFULLY TAGGED UP ON BELLINGER!
  19. ... making MLB debutante Will Smith no longer a lad in search of his first hit.
  20. Alou/Rojas?
  21. Edgy MD wrote: =LWFS post_id=11299 time=1559010549 user_id=84] They are a better team than us. Truth? We'll be lucky to grab one of these games. I don't know. I mean no offense meant to Bashlor, but what's to be expected when you lift Jacob deGrom for Tyler? With a one-run lead?
  22. They are a better team than us. Truth? We'll be lucky to grab one of these games.
  23. Dodger Stadium in twilight is a beautiful thing, is it not? Similarly beautiful: the Dodgers' collective plate approach. Few strikeouts on a team with at least 6-7 guys who can park it in the seats.
  24. I could've sworn he was still a Phil, if only a benchy one. Following in the stolzer tradition of Gardenhire and Toni Stoner as a German-born German-American Met. So if he sucks, at least his folks will have a few dozen compound words to describe the feelings that elicits.
  25. That borderline-batshit GoGo energy is something we surely need right now, isn't it?
