1. Is this the "bombshell"? If so, it's an unknown one. https://twitter.com/Ken_Rosenthal/status/1188559718001844224https://twitter.com/Ken_Rosenthal/status/1188559718001844224 Oooh... a secret bombshell. So, like, a landmine? Edgy MD wrote: This is thrilling. Is it?
2. So what happens if, like, Gaetz or Scalise gets accidentally locked out? Anyway...turns out the 107-win, Yank-waxing Astros are, like, pretty good after all.

4. You don't want to watch Irishman on bootleg, friendo.
5. Solid SP, a surplus of young fireballers in that pen, bench punch, and a lineup featuring more prime Seager than your average Midwest-honkytonk jukebox... these North Carolina Revels sure do figure to pop a few victory Pepsis, do they not? 6. Belief in QAnon doesn't raise questions of whether someone has biases that might affect their job; it raises questions of whether we should preemptively monitor/sequester said person. It's not just conspiracy-- it's blood-libel-type conspiracy that enables/encourages violent insurrection.
7. Johnny Lunchbucket wrote: Yeah he sucks. And the way the Astros screwed up this issue with their dumbass front office flunky is making me a Nats fan. Right? Found myself fist pumping when the Soto stuff would happen. Finding out all sorts of weird stuff about myself, rooting-wise, in the heat of the moment this postseason. #selfdiscovery #butnotthatkind
8. Frayed Knot wrote: Should be on 3rd, cousin George!! If you're going to dance towards 1st base then you better be damn sure it's actually going out. Had he done so, the Altuve fly right afterward just might have tied the game right there.

14. Wigginton?
15. McNeil is just a better fielder, regardless. You'd rather have the liability in left, right?
16. Edgy MD wrote: That's terrific. I forget that Reggie is from Pennsylvania. He's such a West Coastie. If it's practice-able, can, going forward, can we name the players' 2019 affiliation? Fix-ed. Could've also gone Mussina or, say, Gubicza for the pitching coach, but... well... who better to get the most out of a staff than Old Man Slow-to-Deliver?

18. Matz' K/9 is also funked up.
19. It should. He's a good dude, has been loyal as hell, and seems to be damn good at the gig. Firing employees like that for the sake of clearing-the-decks/flexing is the red-flaggiest of bad-manager red flags..
20. I want Edgardo. Mets pedigree, can communicate with Latino ballplayers, been managing in the minors, friendly, personable. Even coming off a championship in 2019. What the hell else do you want? Good call. Why is he not being mentioned after actually doing the job in the unglamorous minor leagues while Carlos Beltran jumps to the front of the line after being comfortable in the major league luxury boxes while serving as a "special advisor"? Well, he's being mentioned now... just not in THAT way. Mike Puma wrote: The Mets have told Edgardo Alfonzo his contract won't be renewed. Alfonzo was manager at Class A Brooklyn, which won the New York-Penn League championship this season. Supposedly offered a "club ambassador" role. Presumably, there's something else at play beyond what we know publicly... but it definitely isn't a good look.
21. I think the primary problem on this front is borne OF BVW's work-- we've traded away, like, four first-rounders for Cano, Diaz, and Stroman.
22. A little like a next-gen version of the Murphy transition, isn't it?
23. Kars 4 Kids is by far the worst ever. I've heard it's a pretty shady operation too but I'd need to do more research before saying so. Ooops, too late. Fact check result: mixed, https://www.charitywatch.org/charity-donating-articles/costly-and-continuous-kars4kids-ads-disguise-charity39s-real-purposeleaning toward true. In CharityWatch's view, the Kars4Kids ads deceive potential donors by failing to inform them that donated cars will benefit a Jewish organization and kids of Jewish faith. Furthermore, the youth programs Kars4Kids supports promote an Orthodox Jewish lifestyle, which CharityWatch believes compounds the deception perpetrated by the Kars4Kids ads. Oorah, Kars4Kids' “sister charity,” is the organization that actually runs the “educational, developmental, and recreational programs for Jewish youth and their families” described in Kars4Kids' mission statement. Kars4Kids and Oorah share a principal officer, Eliyohu Mintz, the son of their founder, Rabbi Chaim Mintz, and both organizations are located at the same address in the heavily-Orthodox Jewish town of Lakewood, New Jersey. Oorah, which means “awaken” in Hebrew, “specializes in outreach to non-observant Jews, operating summer camps and other programs that seek to make non-Orthodox Jews more observant,” according to an October 2016 article in the Forward, which covers news for a Jewish-American audience.
24. I have no doubt that if it ever aired on TV instead of just radio, the winner hands down would be the 1-800- cars 4 kids ad. Later Got some good news/bad news for you.
25. Frayed Knot wrote: Things sailing along nicely for Houston -- up 4-1, Cole cruising thru 7 with a below average pitch count -- but I'm always wary when you score early in the game and then try to sit on the lead for the remainder of the game; sooner or later you'll regret not adding on. Houston's first four batters of the game scored but they don't have a hit since! Well, there y'are.
