  1. Winning tonight and taking one game from the Cubs and I'll be very happy.
  2. Shit's about to get real, kids. I hope Syndergaard isn't anywhere near as nervous as I am.
  3. Wearing my Syndergaard shirsey. It's 3-0 this year in his starts.
  4. Hafta have him back. He'd be a fool not to opt out, and unless he wants a 6+ year deal, they'd be fools not to sign him.
  5. Buzz building that it's Loney at first tomorrow night, and that they'll carry 9 pitchers and 16 position players for the game.
  6. Well, there's also that small matter of Bumgarner being the best post-season pitcher, like, ever.
  7. Nervous about a lefty-heavy lineup against Bumgarner. And Bochy won't hesitate to leave him in as long as possible to avoid that crappy bullpen of his. There'll be no pitch count worries in this game.
  8. Congratulations, that was the 20,000th post in this forum. Don't know if you win anything.
  9. It'll be Gabriel DonchaYnoa getting the start. Adjust your expectations accordingly.
  10. You've been Asdrubaled!!!!
  11. Familia better be getting these kind of strike calls when he comes in.....
  12. Okay, now finish off this thing, Metsies.
  13. It's okay. Just put the hammer down these next two games and let Thor get a tuneup on Sunday. Two wins and it doesn't matter what anyone else does.
  14. They just got to take care of their own business. Kick Phillie butt and move on.
  15. Centerfield wrote: That is a terrific idea. Push back the capable starting pitcher and burn the bullpen in the first game of the series. Well played Philly. Well, they'll be resting from Monday on anyway.

He was pretty good in the early on against the Mets last week. GKR said that originally they were going to pitch Asher on Friday and have the 'bullpen game' on Saturday. But then they moved Saturday's game to Fox (because of the keen national interest in the Phillies). Pete Mackanin didn't want to be an embarrassment by throwing 9 innings of bullpen on a national broadcast, so he'll probably pitch Asher on Saturday and strike the match on his bullpen game on Friday instead.

  18. Just delaying the inevitable beheading by a day.
  19. Well, it's worked so far. More runs, pleez.
  20. Boy, Terry with the quick hook.
  21. I've always told my wife that it's a good thing she didn't meet me when I was twenty, because if she had she would have run for the hills. Had to get my ya-ya's out first.
  22. Looks like we've got a perforated Colon. Colon Dealing With a Tendon Injury in Foot Would explain why he had nothing in his last start.
  23. He was 0-5 after that. Cut the bum.
  24. My concern if you don't pitch him is that he'd be on 8 days' rest. Perhaps he gets an inning or two on Sunday. Otherwise you'll be pitching Gsellugo for the WC game.
