  1. Toyota Jan pregnant again; don't know what's going on at that dealership.
  2. Matz is high with everything, which won't end well unless he fixes it.
  3. I was thinking, "A lot of missing pieces, just like the team portrayed in it". Boy, think what an easy target Mr. Met would have been for the Redcoats in the Revolution. He wouldn't have survived Lexington or Concord with that giant noggin. Despite that, I was in the Spirit of '76.
  4. Well, I only saw one yearbook, so I voted for 1977.

Really, really long lines at the main gate for a non-sellout, and seemingly even longer lines for concessions. Maybe they're just not in midseason form there yet. Build a Bear giveaway is super cute, and I resisted three (!) offers to purchase it off me. Sorry, other dads. Gotta get there early. We were eating Fuku out in the CF Kid Zone when my buddy looks up at the screen and says "we could use a homer here" just as Wacha goes into his windup and WHAMO Cespedes goes yard. We went bananas. Going back tomorrow, solo if anyone's around to chat, and there's an extremely good chance that I'm going to take home one of those gigantic lineup Topps cards from last year for the new office. It was a bit chilly but bearable (if you'll pardon the pun). We got there relatively late- about 12:20 by the time we got through the gate, and they were still handing out the bears, so I suspect they had more than 15,000. One guy had a sign asking for bears and had a bag that I bet had at least a dozen of them in it that he'll probably be posting on ebay tonight. Next time I go, I MUST get one of those Mr. Softee Home Run Apple soft serve thingies. Much cooler than the Helmets, but the lines were too long. Too many stupid games between innings! Rolling huge dice was just embarrassing. Bad minor league stuff. Cespy's home run was nice, but d'Arnaud's must have dented one of the M & M's on the wall in left. That was a bullet. Love deGrom pitching gutty ball without his best stuff. After two games I find myself wondering, are the Mets this good or are the Cards this bad? Have to see what the Harvester yields tomorrow.
  6. Saw him outside Citi shortly after it opened. Was struck by how enormous he was, which probably shortened his life quite a bit.
  7. Works the late shift at Applebee's.

  10. So, does he go with Familia in a non-save situation?
  11. Gsellman gstrikes out the gside!
  12. Mike Myers pitching like Austin Powers.
  13. Yeah, but he's got to work on that 6.00 ERA.
  14. Ha. Brooce with the SB.

  16. Cecil gets the call. Beany in the bullpen warming up.
  17. Hey! Hits! Runs! Goodness!

  22. Boy, #19 may be in danger today.
  23. With the exception of Yadier F Molina, Syndergaard is dealing today....
