    I think what actually happened is that they put a life-size cutout of Jeff Wilpon in the clubhouse, and with every win they peel off a piece of his clothing. Hey, it's worked before.

    Starters going deeper into games, exposing the bullpen less. Consistent hitting from Davis, McNeil, Rosario. Random great performances like 3 HR's from Cano and 6 RBI from Ramos. And inferior opposition; Bucs, White Sox, Bucs again, Marlins. You have to put the hammer down against these teams and they did. Things would be even better if they hadn't lost 3 extra-inning games to the Giants.
