  1. Score some runs for him please. And he'll probably only go 5, so score them early.
  2. Whoa. That was creepy. Um, how about not pitching to Soto?
  3. Peterson's looking like a keeper.
  4. Part of the ongoing attempt to remove strategy from baseball.
  5. Thunderstorms predicted. The corrugated plastic cutout fans will get wet.
  6. Kaboom. https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/1/1c/Hindenburg_disaster.jpg/450px-Hindenburg_disaster.jpg>
  7. So he becomes the #5 starter? I'm not sure I'm buying what they're gselling.

  9. I think Rufus and Melba are going to have a better time than we are.
  10. Looking to be the anti-Cespedes. And looking to have one more suitor in free agency. He didn't impress me enough in the short time he pitched for the Mets to throw big dollars at him. But realistically, this finishes the Mets. They have no fifth starter. Also no second and third starter. Peterson's an acceptable #4 at this point.
  11. Yeah, that was a mess. Still no clutch hitting, even in a win.

  13. OK, I think it's time to end using Familia.
  14. Giminez is up too early, and he's going to struggle. He'll be good long term, though. I agree with the 'Mets push their young Latin players hard' theory. Rosario is a prime example of that.
  15. =MFS62 post_id=42880 time=1596624227 user_id=60] Given the way Giminez has been playing, is it too soon to think about trying Rosario in center when he gets healthy? Later
  16. Well, don't worry, it'll all go away when the warm weather comes, right?
  17. Yo painted himself as unreliable for any team looking to sign him next season. He's made his big money, but he'll be signing a pretty cheap contract next year. There are right ways to opt out, and wrong ways. Yo did it the wrong way.
  18. On the bright side, Dom Smith now gets regular at-bats.
  19. Edgy MD wrote: Well, knowing he's been seen, if he has indeed been seen, doesn't particularly cancel "he didn't show up" or "we can't get in touch with him." Perhaps he was seen dancing naked in the Centennial Olympic Park water fountain. And his cell phone got wet. I dunno. I just know that this'll be the biggest sports story in New York for the next 3 or 4 days.
  20. Jeez, can this organization get more fucked up? If you know he's okay, why do you send out that 'we can't find him' notice?
  21. Hoping he's not lying on the floor dead someplace.
  22. Another team comes down with a cluster and that might be the tipping point. Especially if it's an AL team. The schedule gets too hard to put back together.
  23. And on and on we go. Joel Sherman @Joelsherman1 · Can confirm that tomorrow's #STLCards #Brewers doubleheader also has been postponed.
