  1. Time for the Yennsy Experience.
  2. Lugo gets it to the bottom of the 9th. C'mon boys.
  3. I'm dreading Trevor May coming into this game. He relies on batters swinging at pitches out of the zone and the Dodgers don't chase. A bad combo.
  4. I too have been thinking about the benefits of local raw honey for my family.
  5. Gary said it best- don't bunt with guys who don't know how to bunt.
  6. Rojas argues balls and strikes way too much. But Loup bails him out.
  7. Well, that escalated quickly.
  8. No-no thru 6 for Taijuan. Pitch count manageable, but boy I wish they'd score a few runs.
  9. I'm predicting 3-10. These teams are much better than the Mets and they're in a hot race where every game counts. Hope I'm wrong but fear I'm right.
  10. Glad they didn't go for any bullpen help at the deadline.
  11. Just how hard is it to get three outs, guys? Apparently WAAAAAY too hard.
  12. =Centerfield post_id=74114 time=1628702643 user_id=65] I don't understand the thought process behind burning Carrasco with that downpour coming. Not that he was any good anyway.

And, yeah, I know you're never really as bad as you look when you're blah blah, nor as good as you look when yadda yadda, but the rest of this season has the whiff of 10-40 to it with maybe an upside of 15-35 if both Lindor and JdG get green-lighted sometime before Turkey Day. I know that sounds almost impossibly negative but at this point I could make at least as many arguments for it as against. They've got those 13 games against the Giants and Dodgers coming up shortly and I could see them losing 11 of them. There'll be no help on the way by then, and they're just not competitive right now. What might be a catalyst is firing Luis Rojas.
  14. Frayed Knot wrote: Lionel Messi inked a two year deal with PSG today so he's off the market. Prior to that I was just figuring that as long as we're going to score at the rate of a soccer club he might have been a good fit. Well, the Mets don't seem to use their hands either.
  15. Will. Not. Watch. I'm exhausted by this team.
  16. A thoroughly demoralizing experience. Not sure what it's going to take for them to get their shit together. With 13 games coming up against the Dodgers and Giants and no sign of deGrom or Lindor, this is going to go south very quickly. There needs to be some real soul-searching this winter about how this team is constructed. They have good pieces but nothing meshes.
  17. Why was Diaz pitching the 8th in a non-save situation? That baffled, then angered us.
  18. Drunken fan wrestled into submission. Much like the Mets.
  19. Philly fans are being good sports and not rubbing it in at all.
  20. They got by on smoke & mirrors (and deGrom) for 3 months. The smoke has cleared, the mirror is cracked and deGrom has vanished.
  21. Conforto sucks. That is all. On edit: Diaz too. Goodbye first place.
