Nope. The Apple pre-game is as vapid, annoying and as full of irrelevancies as anything from Fox or ESPN. It's a low bar but they're limboing for dear life. -
Solid game all around. Megilla has gotten himself on Buck's good side early. It's clear that the Nats are going to suck this year. They've got some pieces, but also too many misfit toys and placeholders.

At least they'll be well fed. This is a great Brazilian barbecue place in DC. Eduardo Escobar took the Mets, including staffers, to dinner at Fogo De Chao last night. Around 70 people were said to have attended.

Where exactly will their record land, 1 through 6 (remember that there are 3 Wild Cards), in the NL; N/A B. How far will they advance; and, N/A C. The number of games in their final round? NA 5. Who wins the World Series (can be the same answer as Q.4.B.)? Blue Jays 6. How many home runs will Pete Alonso hit? 40 I was doom and gloom last year and was right. It's looking sketchy this year as well. The offense will be better, but everybody's offense will be better due to the NLDH. They're not out of spring training and already 60% of the rotation is hurt. The bullpen is arguably worse than last year (and it wasn't exactly a strength then). It will be a long hot summer in Flushing. Buck may want to go with the cotton uniforms. Prove me wrong, Metsies.

Hit .231 last year so I'm not impressed. .240, 10/50. No real 4th outfielder so he'll play every day.

Won't be worth it for 4 years, but he'll be worth it this year. .280, 15/65, 40 steals, 90 runs.

Paddock has been trending badly and was injured last year. Hosmer is of no use as there are already 2 DH's in Cano and Davis. And if he's going to play first Piss Missile Pete won't be happy as the DH. I know the Padres are trying to get out from under the Hosmer contract but this looks like Cano/Diaz 2.0.
