These were two good covers. It was hard to choose I picked They Don't Got It because it seemed like the season in a nutshell

Trying to get the attention back away from Travis and Taylor. Seriously what is wrong with people, drinking then driving? Poor Patrick Jr, I've read unsavory things about his brother too

    This is terrific !

Love those lawyer parodies! That comment about hitting and pitching in youth ball is so correct. I never thought of it that way but sure, most of these guys were probably top athletes as boys too and that's how it works in LL

A young winning team? Let's all go together and buy them!

We can't forget our lousy bullpen, guys. We could have the 1986 pitching staff here but our middle relievers would piss it away. That's my number one reason I hate the current trend of five inning starts and giving it all over to lesser pitchers to lose

Never got to watch him but loved his name. I had a cousin named cookie

    That is great!

    Lol

Ah TCM! My mom who lives seven miles away watches TCM all the time. And although we both have Comcast, we have different channel lineups, and hubby and I don’t get it. Wish we did.
  13. whippoorwill
Lol Bob Murphy was always good for that

Edgys description of Buddy as gaunt and skinny is spot on. I'll bet he didn't weigh 150

Hubby reading to me aloud an article saying it's because they are too ‘woke' That vomit inducing word Not sure how that applies here so we are ‘perplexed'

Yeah but now at least the ticket price includes dancing girls 💃🏻🕺🏻

Scary? The Mets' staff? You mean like hoping that chili doesn't come back to haunt you when you're on the freeway scary?

Aw, so long to one of my first favorites 😢
  19. whippoorwill
I'm not even sure it's just dancing girls. That I could stomach. But Rerun-ish guys breaking it down for my Mets? Yuk

I have this great book and I haven't looked at it in a couple of years but I'm about to. I was disappointed in jerry koosmans politics because he was always one of my top favorites
