  1. I am so sick of the Mets’ limited budget.
  2. From the Teammates thread: Allen (Watson) is also an honored recipient of the Bob Friend Award, given to the rare player who spends exactly one season in New York, but splits it between the Yankees and Mets. Who are the other Bob Friend Award winners? I’m guessing Bob Friend would be one.
  3. I really don’t care what Kranepool said to Jeff Wilpon. He deserves all the honor and respect the Mets can give him.
  4. Anthony Swarzak delighted to be reunited with Mickey Callaway, who he says is a straight shooter, and adds that he loves the guy. All of which is good, but Callaway’s advice to him included hitting the weight room harder, which makes me a little nervous.
  5. Prayers with Eddie, and what’s wrong with the Mets?
  6. I’m glad to see Omar back. I think he’s a good baseball man, and a good talent evaluator.
  7. STFU, all of you. Terry is younger than me.
  8. Well, nothing super unusual, except that you expect a little more stability in the fourth spot. You don't expect a team is going to have ten go-to sluggers.
  9. Phil Esposito wore 77.
  10. Wondering how many different Mets have batted cleanup this year.
  11. I'm here. Lurking, if not posting.
  12. What happened with Wheeler? Another injury? His line doesn't look all that bad.
  13. Let's hope this Pill works like Viagra.
  14. Amed Rosario still down on the farm.
  15. Cooby - pool dance like no one's watching.
  16. My contribution to their question about how to speed up games. Put a limit on how many pitchers a team can have on its roster at one time. That way you're simply not gonna be able to go out to the mound and call in three different pitchers in an inning. Pitching coaches will have to work with starting pitchers on pacing themselves so that they don't throw their arms out as often, so that they can go deeper into games or maybe even finish them. Which might mean less Tommy John surgery and fewer marquee pitchers sitting out whole seasons, which couldn't hurt the game.
  17. Thor on Game of Thrones?
  18. Have forgotten what QO means.
  19. Rosario is their guy, Cecchini deal bait, a throw-in to sweeten the Jay Bruce deal.
  20. Dozier...what field?
  21. Hey, it worked for Adam.
