  1. We dont condone it, and we dont think its constructive, Colletti said at Citi Field, where the Dodgers were to play the New York Mets on Tuesday night. People can have disagreements. When it gets beyond that level, its over the limit. You can't be any clearer about that. Tearing a piece off a teammate with your teeth is something the Dodgers do not condone. Thanks for clearing up any ambiguity about that, Ned. Other organizations may look the other way, but not you guys. When your behavior is closer to cannibalism than not, the Dodgers think it's over the line. Colletti could not be clearer.
  2. OK, fine. The greatest Orix Buffalo/New York Met was Jae Weong Seo. Gimme the top Met-Brave-Royal.
  3. BuffaloMet!
  4. It's marathon's conception. I'm just applying it to Kong.
  5. I get the idea that it's more than dimensions that are in the Mets' heads these days.
  6. Apparently it's [list:5v2zaphu]STS = { [ Abs ( MetsWAR + OtherTeamWAR ) ] / 2 } - [ Abs ( MetsWAR - OtherTeamWAR ) ][/list:u:5v2zaphu] Or somesuch.
  7. Dave Kingman wants to challenge Youngblood, too. Dave Kingman's WAR as a Met: 3.0 Dave Kingman's WAR as a Giant: 4.3 Average. 3.65 Delta: 1.3 Average Minus Delta: 2.35 Better than Youngblood. Not as good as Hunt.
  8. Listening to them, one would think they were playing at the old, old Yankee Stadium, where a fly ball could take a 460-foot trip to left center and still be caught against the wall. Come to think of it, those old Yanks never had any trouble knocking down the walls. Not all those homers that Babe Ruth, Joe DiMaggio, Lou Gehrig and all the other greats that graced that ancient and now-gone cathedral hit flew over the short porch in right. I just punched this paragraph in the face. THREE TIMES! Why is it still talking?
  9. Wilson was a disaster. We had four lefties up against him too. He had these jive-ass non-breaking sliders missing away over and over. Murphy needs to explain himself for striking out against that garbage.
  10. Uh... Darrin F. Jackson? Met-Orix Buffalo?
  11. Joel Youngblood's WAR as a Met: 9.3. Joel Youngblood's WAR as a Giant: 3.6. Average. 6.45 Delta: 5.7 Average Minus Delta: 0.75. BOOO!!!!!!!!
  12. Singelton? Rocky Diamondback Met?
  13. Yogi Berra was a WWII Navy Vet who was part of D-Day. That makes him a brave mariner Met.

  15. Wow! Rick White? Met-Cardinal-Brewer?
  16. AstroMet is Crusty Staub. OE: Indian Met is Jeff Kent. (Or Joel Youngblood, who was part American Indian.) RangerMet?
  17. seawolf17 wrote: Mr. Mays would like to challenge "Joel Youngblood, GiantMet." Well, then, perhaps he can un-retire and add to his 1.6 Metly WAR. We have to make cold, hard choices here at ComboMet Combat.

  19. Joel Youngblood. Marlin Met?
  20. John Cougar Lunchbucket wrote: Josh Edgy was definitely in his field of vision when he tried to make that play. David Wright is very sick and it's infecting everyone. I don't know if it was Keith or Ronny, but one of them said that if that happens, you take the pitcher's head off. He's responsible for himself. That macho posturing is all well and good, but it doesn't change the fact that you don't have a clear target to throw to. So yeah, I'm going to agree with your implication and say the bulk of the blame lies with the bulk of Edgin's ass. But execution is a team thing. I guess Edgin's conditioned instinct is to run to first when the ball is hit toward the first baseman. That's generally good, but it certainly hurt last night. Hmmm... how to get Wright right... .
  21. Ol' Rude.
  22. Pedro is a Sock, more than anything. Mike Piazza is ultimate MetDodger.
  23. We also need the exy-cution. Clean, effective defense and baserunning. Murph's throw to the plate with the infield in was something of a horror show. And I hope he isn't already un-hot. He seems more selective this year. I'm too lazy to see if that means fewer walks, but he isn't even cocking when the fastballs come in off the plate inside and outside. As to whether he's laying off the breaking pitches at the ankles, I am agnostic.
  24. So, I'm like 0-3 in IGTs this year. BOOO!!!!
  25. Hit it to Turner!
