Post-injury Dilson lookin' not big-league ready as the Brews get two on with no out in the sixth. The dis-spirited Brewers announcers saying the team is, "not out of it yet." You're down by one in the sixth! Of course you're in it!!
My greatest Darryl Hamilton memory was that he was the capper of Phillips-era double-challenge trade win. They signed Lance Johnson to a two-year deal; got one all-star-quality season out of him; flipped him mid-season for Brian McRae, got high-end, good-power production out of him, while Johnson would never be good again; and then flipped McRae again in midseason for Hamilton; and got Darryl's last high-end production out of him while McRae would never again be good. They essentially got four years of productive batsmanship in center (with a little Carl Everett in there for a bit) out of a risky two-year. Phillips could have kept it going if he flipped Hamilton in mid-season 2000 or 2001 for, I dunno, Juan Encarnacion or somebody, but Darryl instead he crossed the finish line a Met, if an embittered one. And that's a good thing.
More than ignoring the clue that the remaining players have not played for the Mets, there is no physical way Wright could have homered against at least one team.

Can SNY not, for Garyabsences the near future, lease the contract of Howie Rose from WOR? Wayne can handle radio duties fine with Jim Duquette or Lance Johnson or Brian Ostrosser or somebody riding sidesaddle.
Confirmations from the team on the signings of Dillon Becker (conservation of Dillons!), LHP Seth Davis, RHP Witt Haggard, LHP Taylor Henry, RHP Chase Ingram, RHP Thomas McIlraith, RHP Joseph Shaw, C Patrick Mazeika, and OF Kevin Kaczmarski.
I appreciate the ambition. The long prologue in particular was courageous. But the execution didn't add up for me. I was really, really undone by the sound on this thing. Between the mumbling, the jargon, the slurring of Matthew McConaughey's accent, and Hans Zimmer's bombastic scoring, we kept having to stop the thing and replay it. Eventually, my wife demanded we set it to play back with subtitles. The fate of humanity is at stake, and you're in a command situation. Speak up and speak clearly.
Yeah we may be behind Philadelphia in fanbase literacy, but evidence is clear that Joelmon totally moved the needle on his own. I don't know if he defected along with Salamander Q, but last I saw, he was posting at Sons of Sam Horn.
Can we get a list of all the correct and incorrect guesses? I keep wanting to say "Cabrera," and then I type "Cabr..." and realize for the fourth time that he's been guessed already.
