    I was torn between Lynch and Holman for that last MLB-in-1983 guy. I didn't have faith in either answer, so I didn't put either forth. But Swan was right out. The last guy is Kevin Brown — memorable only because (a) so many people in the Kevin McReynolds trade were named Kevin, and (b) he was the wrong Kevin Brown, and in my mind forever shares a home with the wrong Pedro Martinez, the wrong Bob Gibson, and the wrong Reggie Jackson.

    Hate to see the Pads tack on, but I have to tip my hat to Bob Henley, who had the guts to send Bowen after last night. Don Henley, on the other hand gets nothing but boos from me.

    Mancini is deeply loved here in Baltimore, and it was here at Johns Hopkins University Hospital that he underwent the cancer treatments that saved his life. In his announcement, he paid tribute to the city, the fans, and the medical staff that treated him.

    It's amazing visiting the studio these days. People who can sing are using autotune as an effect. To me, it makes them sound like they can't sing, when I know they can. But to the audience they are going for, this is what music sounds like. Autotune is, of course, slathered all over "OMG." I wonder how he'll be without that, or whether Broadway will let him use it.
