  1. Of course, if that potential rainout happens tonight, all this we-got-Syndergaard-lined-up bidness goes back to the drawing board.

Avoid this game at all costs. Tuesday, 10/4 American League Wild Card Game Wednesday, 10/5 National League Wild Card Game Syndergaard would be on full four days of rest. ********************************************** Main takeaways: If the Mets avoid a play-in game, they are on a schedule to have Syndergaard ready on regular rest for the Wild Card game. If they avoid a play-in game. Two more turns for the maybe-Matz/maybe-Ynoa/maybe-Tebow spot in the rotation. The Mets seem to avoid Fernandez on the series in Miami, but if the Marlins are hanging around in the race, they could certainly juggle the rotation. They have a questionable back end that they'd want to avoid if they can. If you are heading to Philadelphia and hope to participate in the giveaways, for the love of all that is holy, make sure you have a "Theme-Night ticket."
  3. You can't find a Sweet song you can tolerate but you like Generations?
  4. Well, I was hoping to see Bill after the Washington series. Had they swept the Nats, they'd be four games out with 13 to go. Yeah, I know. Eggs in my beer.
  5. Works either way for me.
  6. He wasn't ready. He wasn't sure what was coming, chased outside of the zone, and couldn't do anything with the curve. They pitched him down and away and he looked like bad Lucas. But he was big, strong, and goofy, and it was great to see him. Tomorrow is another day.
  7. Why is Keith trying to hit his own disembodied head in the face with a bat?
  8. Blevins, by the way, with the beard, the shnozz, and the bleached hair, looks like a skeezy London street operator. All he needs is a rumpled raincoat and he can get a lot of character acting jobs.
  9. Man, Mauer. I thank you for your slowness.
  10. Welcome back, Laggy!!
  11. Nice throw by Conforto, but if that's Céspedes in left, Grossman stays nailed to second base.
  12. Damn you, Berenstain Bear.
  13. Or Cabrera. That's good too.
  14. Hits to right, left, and center, in consecutive at-bats. Put the next one over the fence, Lucas.
  15. Since When does Conforto get a hole to shoot one through?
  16. How about that hook after 4 2/3? Come on, Terry. You cooked your bullpen yesterday. Let your starter go, go, go.

  18. I'm anticipating that T.J. won't be wearing #54 next season. In fact, I'm hoping he won't be wearing it on the post-season roster.
  19. Benjamin Grimm wrote: I hate seeing a B lineup, but I guess guys gotta get days off. This would be a good game to win. Of course, all of them are! I tell you though, while the Mets lineup isn't a murderers row, their depth is such that I don't see them giving anything much up at all with their Sunday squad.
  20. And Ynoa goes today. This can't go wrong.
  21. Would be great to see him start today. TransactionRisen From The Dead And Activated From 15-Day Disabled ListPosition Group=#8000FF]Outfielder[fimg=90]http://mlb.mlb.com/mlb/images/players/head_shot/446263.jpg[/fimg]NameJuaLucas DudaDoB2/3/86 #21

  23. We may be overthinking this. If Matz is available, they have five starters. If he's not, they have four.
  24. Yeah, that could happen. But I'm not thinking it will.
