  1. hell of a lot better than just the bland 'rays' who play inside most of the time, out of the rays of the sun. OK. Myself, I'm hoping on being traded from Cleveland to Anaheim, so I can thereafter be introduced as a "Guardian Angel."
  2. Walker has already exceeded his last start.
  3. Another day on the shelf for McNoodle.
  4. =Ceetar post_id=72468 time=1627156852 user_id=102]The Devil Rays were great.
  5. I certainly don't really ha... wait a minute. is Joe Girardi eligible?
  6. At 5'8" and 180, never having hit more than 10 homers in a previous season, playing in the PCL in general and Las Vegas in particular, before the softening of the baseball, it's fair to consider that season to be at least somewhat anomalous. But welcome to Syracuse.
  7. I think BH enjoys playing the heel so much that it dampens the true impact of his game. I think he's the ideal villain because he's a villain if you're shallow enough to get suckered into his heel act, and he's a villain if you look deeper and see that it's all a game and that he needs the attention and it makes him less of a player. Jumping ship from one rival to another? Forgetting which team he plays for at the introductory press conference? He's a double dick. He's playing the dick without realizing he's a bigger dick than the one he's playing. He's the kind of dick who gets publicly throttled by his own teammates, and gets his manager fired for it.
  8. Only infinite ERA in Mets history. It's a unique hook, for sure, with which to to secure a place in the team's story, but ...
  9. Nice catch by Smith, but wish they were able to switch in Pillar when he pinch-hit.
  10. Hello, my name is Bryce.
  11. As I said, I suspect he wants him as fresh as can be for the Atlanta series.
  12. I have to say, even in a low-scoring affair like tonight, my enjoyment in baseball has tripled since the ban on goo.
  13. It takes some adjusting to accept that neither Guerror, Biggio, nor Bichette plays the same position as their dads.
  14. Guy is as big as Herman Munster and they're pulling him after 78 pitches. I think Rojas may be managing for that Atlanta series.
  15. A four-pitch sixth thanks to some rangey-assed catches. Megill may well be out-doing his last start.
  16. Terrific ovation from a Friday-night crowd for Megilla.
  17. Two hits through five against a top offensive club. No matter what you call him, that's good stuff.
  18. They can start an Italian-American Hall of Fame just with the folks in attendance tonight.
  19. God bless Alejandro Kirk. What a beauty.
  20. In his comment before the game, Rojas mentioned that he's intending to start Pillar against tomorrow's lefty.
  21. I always liked that his name referenced his infraction.
  22. That's a good point, and I defer. In PART!
