  1. Top of the 6th ... well over two hours.
  2. How many times this year has Alonso left 2 men on to end an inning? All of them
  3. If your last name is Fry, do you really think it's a good idea to give hyour kid a name that rhymes with 'Small Fry'? (incoming O's reliever Paul Fry)
  4. Consecutive two out hits for two runs ... are we allowed to do that?
  5. Even though there's no game tomorrow, are we still going to be down by three runs in the 1st anyway?

  7. Six hits by the first ten Oriole batters.
  8. Cisco took a bad Chance there.
  9. Frayed Knot wrote: time=1599681525 user_id=55] How and when did he do that?!?!? Throwing a pitch in his last outing. He doubled over in pain after he released the ball. That's funny, so did I
  10. =G-Fafif post_id=46127 time=1599681525 user_id=55] Gsellman to the IL with a fractured rib.
  11. I've often said that if you're going to hit like shit and pitch like shit and field like shit then you might as well do them them all on the same night ... but there's been far too many of these for a full season already much less a truncated one.
  12. Well at least getting Wacha out of there improved thjngs
  13. And once again, we're fighting out of an early hole.
  14. And for those expecting to see Dilson Herrera for the O's, you're going to be disappointed. DFA'd to make room for the Whiffing and/or Slugging Chris Davis
  15. So not only did the Orioles come back in that second game of the DH on Friday, but they took the next two games as well making it three of four in the series to even the season series at 3-3 Of course when combined with last year that still leaves the Yanx 20-5 over the O's since the beginning of '19 but things are turning in the right direction. And now tonight in Buffalo (still seems weird to type that) the Blue Jays were down 6-2 to the Yanx in the 6th until they put up a 10-spot (and still batting) in bottom 6th to take a 12-2 lead. The Jays already passed the Yanx for second place in the AL East over the weekend so are now looking to put some turf between them and the Bronx whatevers. Yanx currently have a tenuous hold on WC slot #2 but aren't headed in the right direction at the moment and are all of two games ahead of those pesky Orioles.
  16. Ya gotta admit. ARod complaining about "cheating" is almost beyond satire
  17. Tough week for Keith
  18. Robert Eenhoorn -- Yanx & Angels mid-90s And while Kirk Saarloos (Astros, Reds, A's 2002-2006) doesn't qualify for this list, he joins Eenhoorn in the rare double double-vowel combo name.
  19. So this Phil's pitcher Mauricio Llovera joins David Aardsma in the All-Double Opening letter name team. Not sure how many others there are, but does anyone remember brief NYY hurler Kevin Mmahat?

  21. JdG is at a sub-average pitch count thru four. Even when he's pitched well it's often taken him a lot of chucks.
  22. In addition to all the runners our sticks have stranded, our runners have done a good job at erasing themselves--- caught stealings, pickoffs, bad advances, etc. And right as I'm typing, Dom cashes one in ... although it could have been better
  23. Edgy MD wrote: First win by a Mets starter since August 15. Of what year? Actually it goes back to August 13th when Peterson got the 'W' vs the Nats. In mentioning that fact during the game and pointing out that going this long a stretch with no starters getting a win tied a club record, Gary pointed that this time is a little different in that the team went 1-18 during their streak w/o a starter win back in 1980 as opposed to this recent and relatively more successful stretch of 8-11 Between that Peterson game and last night we've seen wins notched by Shreve, Wilson, Diaz, Brach, Lockett, Hughes, Peterson (as a reliever) and Diaz again.
  24. You REALLY hope that 1st & 3rd / No Outs / No Runs situation doesn't come back to bite us. We survived the Nimmo flub an inning earlier.
  25. Sing us a (sad) song Payano man.
