  1. Wow, an actual XBH!! ... followed by another lazy ass FO Well at least we held the Braves under a run/inning ... probably for the last time this series.
  2. 0/9 w/RiSP, 13 LOB, and the GO that ended the 8th was our first groundout that Didn't result in a DP
  3. The Vogelbach Line-Out to RF to end the 7th and McNeil's to CF opening the 5th were the only hard hit NYM outs tonight, and only JMcN's made the ATL defense work. Thru 7 it's those 2 line outs plus 6 Ks, 6 OF FOs, 3 IF POs, and 2 GiDPs
  4. 5 of the 7 ATL runs have cone with 2 outs
  5. The pitcher may be new but the lazy ass FOs continue.
  6. 100 pitches thru 5 with more balls than strikes = shutout
  7. It helps when not a single Met has a well hit ball. 8 LOB, 0/7 w/RISP, and virtually every out has been a lazy ass FO (except for the soul crushing GIDP of course).

  9. 3 innings: 2 Hits + 6 BBs = 0 Runs No way that's going to haunt us later in the game.
  10. Our cleanup-turned-3rd hitter has 5 HRs this season. The Braves #8 & #9 guys have 13 + 11
  11. I actually got eight, which is about six above my norm. My goof was in thinking that the Alex Gonzalez who played for the Cubs was the same Alex Gonzalez who played for the Marlins. My problem with this game, aside from age related dementia, is that I have no patience for it. I remembered the Cubs Alex Gonzalez because he made a crucial error in the Bartman inning. If I had just thought that inning through for three more seconds then Moises Alou would have come to mind and he was a known Cub/Marlin as opposed to the A.G. coin flip guess. Was kind of proud, though, of my Mat Latos CIN/MIA pick. I remembered him cuz he was an asshole who annoyed the fuck out of me.
  12. FOX has the night game on Saturday and ESPN grabbed the Sunday tilt. Bet they're happy they got those Pennant chase games locked up early.
  13. Rare to see a 4-3 8-1/2 inning game top 3 hours these days. Of course that one replay review was responsible for at least 25 minutes by itself.
  14. I have a sudden hankering to buy something from the Haugland Group. I have no idea what they sell but I want to buy one.
  15. =Fman99 post_id=134494 time=1691630828 user_id=86] He Gott no idea where that fastball is going
  16. Cubs go to the pen as Met hitters seem happy to get out from under the Kyle Hendricks experience.
  17. Edgy MD wrote: Apu in the house! Except that Apu has been canceled. On the flip side, so has the Cubs lead.
  18. So the good news is he struck out the side ...
  19. A couple of phrases by Joe Schultz come to mind right about now.
  20. The first outing since his no-hitter for Houston's Framber Valdez didn't go quite as well. Baltimore hit him up for 6 runs on 8 hits thru 7, although most of the damage was done early when the O's got 2 in the 1st then 3 more in the 2nd
  21. This is not the way we drew up the 8th inning Smith.
  22. T'would be real nice if they decide that relying on Pete to supply ALL the offense is probably a bad idea.
  23. As a protest against the whole Points Bet promotion thing SNY does during every game, I mute the sound each time they run it.
  24. Gutsy throw to 3rd by Cookie. I was yelling 'NO!' Guess he didn't hear me.
